I came home from work at lunch and there were several police cars outside the house right up the street from me. I didn't think anything of it and called my husband to see if he heard anything. He checked the scanner at work and found out that the owners came home and walked in on their house being robbed :scared1: . We live in a very, very quiet neighborhood and we never lock our doors... until now :guilty: .

OMGosh - those poor people - I am so sorry I am sure you feel like the whole neighborhood has been violated. :grouphug: for you and your neighbors.

:grouphug:
The same thing happened in my neighborhood once! I was coming home from school and there was a bunch of cops running around. They even had a dog with them!! We found out later it had something to do with the ladies son and drugs.

We also live in a nice, quiet, safe neighborhood. We often would leave our vehicles unlocked. That was until the rash of vehicles breakins that happened in our nice safe neighborhood. They got DH and I twice!!! Needless to say that I our vehicles and doors are checked every night!

At our old house we had this lovely couple renting next door.(that was said with sarcasm dripping and oozing) They decided to get in a rip snorter of a fight. I had a man coming to bid windows on our back porch. I almost didn't get my quote. The window guy circled the block a few times. He was a little nervous about pulling up to a house with 3 police cars sitting in front of it with their lights on.
Yep, they had to park directly in front of my house. I had a wide yard too and you think they could have pulled up closer to the neighbor's house, but instead I had one at the end of my sidewalk with one in front and one on back.
Talk about humiliating for us, but got me front row seats to watching them put him in their car in cuffs. And since it was a warm day and the door was open we got to listen to what the fight was all about. According to what the woman said happened, he cut up her wedding dress and smashed a stein that used to be her Gma's. That of course led to one police officer asking the others what a stein was, which led to a discussion on how much beer a stein would hold, which led to them discussing how much beer each one of them could hold.lol
I could have found it funnier though if they weren't sitting there spending an extra 20 minutes sitting in front of my house.....
