Just got back today from a wonderful trip to dis and our first stay at Coronado Springs. I have to say that when we started this trip we were most concerned about the hurricane and what kind of weather we would have. It was just gorgeous the whole time....we only saw a few sprinkles just once and that was about 8:00 p.m. one night and we could see the sun setting at the same time so it was nothing.

We loved Coronado! We requested Casitas and when we got there at about noon on 9/15 our room was already for us and on top of that the strangest thing......(some of you may have had this happen before) while we were in line to check-in this girl came and asked us if we were the Ward family and we said yes and she took us over to the guest relations area and while the cm checked us in she told us who she was and wanted to welcome us personally back to Disney since we were regular visitors. As many times as we have been over the past ten years that has never happened to us before. When we got into our room they had a Disney photo album ( a really nice framed one made out of wood) in there with an autographed photo of Minnie and Mickey that says welcome back. (its a real picture too, a kodak..I took it out and looked at it ha ha). We later saw the same album in the gift shop at the resort and it was priced at $25 so that was a very nice surprise.

We ended up switching rooms though the next day because we were in a high traffice area and all the conference goers woke us up about 6 a.m. getting ready and walking by our room......we didn't want that every morning so we moved. They put us back at the Ranchos and WOW was it nice and quiet. Another great thing about our trip was we felt like we had all of Disney to ourselves. The crowds were very low the entire week. The longest line we waited in was The Land (15 min.) but the next time we were in there no one was in line for it. One of the great things that happened was.....twice we were the only two on the bus! Once at about 7:00 p.m. from the resort to Downtown Disney and the once from MK at about 2:00 p.m. back to the resort. That was kinda freaky but nice! We took a picture of the parking lot at the resort and our vehicle and one more were the only two in our lot! I will definitely want to stay in the Ranchos again. We also had our quiet pool to ourselves most of the time which was great.

Sorry to go on and on, I didn't mean for this to be this long but it was such a great trip I had to share. Now I will start planning our trip for our quick trip in Nov. I think we may try the AKL this time since we have never been there but we will be back to CSR! Thanks for letting me ramble. ;)

What a lovely trip report. And you had magic sprinkled on you, too, wow! I have only stayed at CSR once but really loved my stay. I can't wait to stay there again. Thanks for sharing the magic.

Awe that was great. Glad to hear that someone got everything they wanted with pixie dust to top it off.

Thanks for the report. We are going to Coronado Springs in November and its nice to hear nice things about the resort. I requested Casitas.

Oh I am so glad you liked CSR, we are going to be there at the end of October and I am so looking forward to it!

I am hoping to stay in Cabanas.

Thanks for the report!

Thank you for posting about your vacation. I'm glad you enjoyed your time at WDW. :D

Wow, sounds great!

That's amazing about the parking lot. Especially with FTP and such. I can't believe they didn't draw larger crowds.

One wonders if Disney marketing is thinking the same thing. I can't imagine they planned it so they could do "rehabs".

Great post, thanks!

Did you have a chance to eat at the Pepper Market? If so, what did you think of it?
:D

No, we didn't eat at Pepper Market but we did walk through it to check it out one evening on our way back to our room. We had already eaten but we wanted to see what all they had. We had PS's two nights and the other two nights we ended up at Boardwalk or we would have eaten there. It looks really good from what we saw. They gave us a little card that said "just looking" on it, which I thought was pretty funny, but it was neat.

Our favorite is always Cape May and we enjoyed every minute of it this time too. Another fun thing that we experienced....our last night there we finished up at Epcot and went over to the Boardwalk and finally decided to eat at ESPN club. We have eaten there before and we liked it. We actually went right in and didn't have to wait which was also nice. We noticed on their sign out front that they were welcoming Terry Bowden but we thought it was just going to be on the big screen or something but no they were doing a live broadcast with him right there in the restaurant. They started the show about ten minutes after we sat down so we were on tv while we ate, We are big college football fans so that was a neat experience. Oh, we had the "macho nachos" and they were great! We just really had a lot of fun things happen to us on this trip now we just hope our next trip can meet up to those standards, ha ha ;)

Wow! What a wonderful surprise :) Glad you hear you had a great WDW trip! :p
