Hello all I just wanted to share my good fortune (brag)

My wife and I are taking her parents to WDW for the first time and we had booked a 1 bedroom at the Boardwalk villas.

This morning, my wife discovered that a 2 bedrrom at Old Key West is only 11 points more. So I called MS and to our supprise they had an available 2 bedrrom at OKW.

What supprised me about this is how we were able to get the room on shourt notice (we leave in 10 days). Is it always this easy to get rooms at OKW or did we just get lucky.

Its disney magic.......... it all depends on the time you go and a lot of members are going the week before you , i think you are just getting there right after MH and before the schools get out and gets crowded , so enjoy your 2 bedroom. that is great news !

Just the luck of the draw! Somewhere someone may be shocked that they called and got a 1 bedroom at BWV with less than a week to go ! DVC reservations are always fluid.

Have a terrific time. I'm sure everyone will enjoy having their own rooms.

Sometimes you just get lucky. We were able to book a BWV studio for last week only 2 weeks in advance!

The first couple of weeks in June is a slow time of year for WDW and DVC, that is probably the reason. Have a great time

It's the law of averages -- for every person hoping for a room, there is probably some poor soul who has to cancel at the last minute! Lucky you to be on the "positive" side of that teeter-totter!

My sister just called last week and got a 1br at BWV for August so her group can join us. Last summer, when she tried to do this at VWL, she could only stay at VWL for the wkend and had to move her group over to OKW for the last 2 nts of her stay. Sometimes size of the resort plays a role, size of room you're seeking, etc. And sometimes -- well, it's just plain good luck!

You're gonna love OKW and probably win son-in-law of the year when your dw's folks take a look at that spacious 2br!

I say that depends on who gets the Master bedroom!

The in-laws will get the master bedroom. but my wife and I will have to be sneeky about it (they are the kind of people who wouldn't think twice about taking the second bedroom, so the wife and I want to make sure they get the whirpool tub ).

Anyways my wife and I are thriled that we can get the privacy of a seperate bedroom (I wouldn't want her dad walking in on us )
