Wow! Dvc Is Busy!

Wow, apparently the guides are really busy. We have been trying to reach someone for 3 days to buy. We have actually told them we want to buy now take our money We can't get anyone to call us back because they are swamped with guests. I'm not complaining (to excited ) I just think it is funny. I've never told sales before to take my money and given a reply of "will call soon"

When you first make contact with DVC--even if it was a request for information thru the mail 5 years ago--a DVC Guide is assigned to your account. Unless that Guide leaves DVC, he/she will normally remain assigned to you indefinitely. That one person is normally your sole point of contact with DVC.

Given that DVC is open 7 days / week, Guides' schedules are not exactly M-F, 8am - 5pm. They also have their own vacation time, take turns running the DVC presentations on DCL (which can keep them out of the office for 7 days or more for business reasons), and so on.

I'm sure the holiday season is especially crazy with peak crowds at the parks and their own personal lives to deal with.

Glad to hear you're taking it in stride. I'm sure someone will be back to you before much longer.

You're not alone. I know someone having the same problem. Been calling for 5 days with no call back. You would think if they were on vacation, they would change their voice mail to give you that info! Well, the holidays are over soon enough, and everyone will be back to work, if that is the case.

I finnally got in. I used a direct number to a guide that Dis user gave me, but tht guide was out. However, his vm gave another direct number to another guide whom was in! She said it was a zoo there. After 10 mins! she said it was official we are now members and will have our papers next week and could book asap. We are thrilled! (I did the dance all night and probaly looked just as goofy ).
