Wow...Crowd calendars off today?

MK wait times seem worse today than all of last week, but crowd calendars are mostly estimating 6's today. We arrive next Saturday. I hope crowds thin out by then!

The one I saw rated today 7/10 which seems about right. I feel like this is the last day of the crazy spring break/Easter lines.

I think April will be busy all month. Next week is SW run. The following week has plenty of eastern schools on spring break, followed by the opening of Rivers of Light.

I don't think RoL will make a difference in crowds with maybe the exception of the number of people in AK. I don't think people are going to be making their travel plans to WDW around this opening.

Easy WDW states that the crowds will be moderate in the afternoon and get heavier as the day goes on. So it sounds pretty accurate.

We were in MK today, and I definitely think the crowd calendars were off. It was a whole lot more crowded than the "6" we expected (more like an 8 maybe?). Heck, even the Treehouse had a line backed up all the way to the entrance.

We arrive next Saturday as well and I am expected it to be more crowded than predicted....that's the way Disney is these days I guess!

Yeah I agree with the whole month of April being crowded. Not only because of Spring Break crowds and some people have theirs next week lol it is so different everywhere.. but also high schools on their Senior Trips. This is the time of year for those.

MK is going to be more crowded than expected EVERY DAY until the rides in EPCOT are up again. Get used to it.

They did extend hours today

Our school district, and many in the surrounding districts, is on Spring Break this week.

I was just posting on Facebook that it seemed AWFULLY crowded at MK for a 6! It was wall-to-wall people pretty much everywhere. Wait times were up to 3 hours for top attractions, and 2 hours for mid-tiers. Even the People Mover had a 25 minute wait (at least according to the CM I asked, the line wove out into the crowds it was so long, and I gave up after ten minutes). Heck, even Fast Track was taking 15-20 minutes!

Edited to add: Who is waiting 2-3 hours to ride a 2 minute ride? Space Mountain was 170 minutes, Peter Pan was 110, other top tiers were in the 2-3 hour range. Who waits that long??? Granted, there were no more fast passes, but still!

Please crowds be good to me at the end of April especially since I have resigned the fact that the person I'm travelling with doesn't want FP.

Two weeks ago, it was let's wait till all our days are available (this was right before Easter, we could only book 30 days out.) Then, after Easter when all the days were unlock, she it had something to do with Apple ID and not having MDE account. I was just going to book them through my account but she thinks that it won't accept her ticket (despite the fact that I scanned her ticket and linked it to my account.) So, I'm beginning to think when I've gotten multiple excuses like that, these FP aren't getting booked. Especially since it's less than two weeks out and I'm afraid we aren't going to get workable times for the rides.

AK was crazy crowded today! Not at all what we expected and worse than we've ever seen. Still, RD + FP + easy going attitudes made for a great day. I would like smaller crowds for MK though! We'll be there Tuesday and Thursday.

We were in MK today and it was crazy. It was a half hour wait to use my space mountain fast pass! Glad we got there at rope drop and got a lot done the first hour and a half. We finally gave up and left about 6. (We are going Tuesday night for Wishes, etc).

The park hours were extended this evening so that must say something.

I think it's a variety of reasons. Like a pp said, until Epcot and DHS have more to offer, I think MK and AK are seeing more crowds. Also, it's spring break for many.
