I thought the demand for this ride would have decreased. Almost 4 years later the demand is still strong! I wish I had bought Disney stock in 2012 when it was $41.31

If you can stay til close it may be a walk on! We got in line last night at 8:50 (9 pm close on a Disney After Hours night) and waited 5 minutes :)

I always book my 7DMT FP at night...you can't really see some of the effects in the sunshine.

2:45 pm isn't bad for day 61! On our last trip, we couldn't get 7DMT at all! (we went on day 61 as well).

We bought it a while ago (can't remember the year) when it was around $33, so can't complain!

Last year I managed to get 7DMT at 10pm and I was happy! It's awesome at night.

We had similar issues with the late in the day time for our April trip. We will be at MK on april 18 and booked it 61 days out. It was a total bummer - couldn’t even get an earlier time for a party of 2!

Or it may not. We went in November and got in line 5 minutes before close (I believe it was 10 PM). Wait was posted at 60 minutes, we waited 30. I had no problem with that, I always wanted to see the interactive queue!

Similarly, we got in line at 11.50pm on the Saturday of President's Day weekend, it said 60 min(I think exaggerated to discourage people as they were also making announcements about poison apples on the line) and we waited around 25, which was fine

I just helped some friends make fp's for their first trip. They were 38 days out from there MK day. I was surprised to find several Mine Train fp's available after 9pm. It was for April 5th, a few days after Easter. It's a busy week, but I noticed some midnight closings at MK, so I'm sure the late hours helped with availability.

Need to keep in mind that at Day 61 there are folks (and a good number of them) who've booked FP's already. If we have a must do ride (as FOP is right now.........and Slinky Dog will be) we're sure to plan those park days for later in our trip. What's the availability on day 65 or 66?

Definitely. People who have short trips are out of luck for FOP. SDMT and FOP are the hot ticket items. I now have to plan at least one AK day at least 5 days after arrival. I usually spread out my MK days so I can at least get an early SDMT on my later day. The other one I plan to hit Frontierland first, if I can’t get an early SDMT.

SDMT really is great at night. We rode it during fireworks a couple of times and it was really special.

I was able to book FoP at 60+2 for early afternoon. I agree that you can ride 7DMT towards the end of the evening as standby with minimal wait as the lines are more bearable once families with younger children leave the parks and/or people move to other areas of the park for the fireworks.

This makes me really happy that we are doing EMM. I'm not sure we would be able to get a 7DMT for our short trip.

If you want to move it earlier there is still a strong chance especially if you are an obsessive type when I really want something Disney related I check multiple times per day and it eventually shows up.

Also, park hours often get extended only a few weeks before and that opens up more FP and there's lots of movement.

While it's still the most popular ride overall to fp in the MK, I think the demand has decreased. I just made fp's today for April 12th. There were lots of morning times available.

I got Mine Train today at exactly 30 day mark. Had to break up our group of 3 and refresh a couple of times- but got 3 passes within 15 minutes of each other. Of course, it is at 11PM!

That is why I have MGM tentatively scheduled for 60+4 and 60+6 and AK for 60+5 for my Birthday trip (staying onsite for 7 Days). Best chance of getting SDD and FoP. I have 60+7 (checkout day) also available if I need it.

I did EMM last summer. It was great. I'm doing it again this summer as I liked it so much last year and my MK days are at the very beginning of my stay.

How long does it usually take for new FP+ options to open up when there is a park hour change? (Specifically from 9 AM opening to 8 AM opening. This could help with FOP)
