If you were given the chance to work in WDW do you think you would take it - and if so what would be your dream job?

If money was no object - as I am sure that the pay there isn't that great - I would love to spend my days helping people in the World.
I would love to do a job that involved meeting people near the main gate of MK - such as the security guards or working the turnstiles. I know it doesnt sound that glamorous but I think it would be a good way to spend my days - seeing the excited, smiley faces on those that are visiting for the first time :goodvibes

Definitely!!! ::yes:: It's one of the things DH and I hope to do in the future...

Ideally, I'd work for DVC tho' would be more than happy to serve in World of Disney, Tren-D or the Olde Christmas Shoppe. DH would like to be a captain on one of the Friendships... :goodvibes

i'd love to be a wedding planner. or a character friend

I would like to work in the UK Pavillion in Epcot, either in the Rose & Crown or in The Tea Caddy where I could see the look on the faces of all the Brits when they hear the cost of the Cadbury's chocolate :rotfl::rotfl:

I would love to work in imagineering or the like, but not in the parks themselves.
Without coming across as grumpy, I did face to face work in the tourism industry for a few years, and it is not all happy times. Unlike the people on this forum who tend to appreciate the great work that the CM's do, my experience is that the majority of people tend to be rude, looking for freebies, condescending and a lot of the time just plain ignorant.
If money were no object, I still wouldn't want to work in a role where the general public could speak to me the way that I've witnessed them speak (or should I say SCREAM) at the CM's in WDW :sad2:

I'd love to work there , I would be Goofy's minder :thumbsup2
My Dh would drive the steam train at Magic kingdom

id love to work at wdw, id like to be a wedding planner (a job i did in a previous life, ie before kids;))
or id like to be in the bakery atMSB, i think id lose so much weight if i was surrounded by cakes all day, when i worked in catering/tourism, i was almost skinny as i never ate as was surrounded by food all day:rotfl:

IMO the pay is not good for those who are "out there" the people we see everyday while at the parks, (entertainers, restaurants, shop workers etc) I was quite surpised by how low the pay is.

My answer would be no I am not a good people person.

I'd give anything to move to Florida and work for Disney Fairy Tale Weddings :lovestruc

About 10 years ago, on one of our first trips, we did the animation tour at MGM. After the animator had finished doing the sketch of a character, he asked if there were any questions. Our then 8 year son put his hand up and asked "What do you get paid?"! Everyone roared with laughter and we were so embarressed, but the guy did answer - to our surprise it equated to just £10,000 a year, which was less than I was earning myself as a part-time low-grade civil servant! I was expecting an actual Disney artist to earn so much more.

If I worked at Disneyworld, I would probably want to drive something - the train at Mk or the monorail. I don't think I would ever tire of driving around the loop in Epcot. Or I'd like to be the tour guide in the Keys to the Kingdom tour at MK.

I would love to work at the Disney weddings. I love the whole wedding planning thing. I would also like to set the fireworks off at the Magic Kingdom. :)

I think i'd want to be the "Fairy Godmother" and make everyones dreams come true:lovestruc, plus the dress would probably be more my size:rotfl2:

Hiya All

This one of our frequent conversations when we walk around Disney, especially in Epcot when you get to the UK showcase.
We always make up jobs we'd like to do. My DH always saya he would love to import a proper ice cream van over, and have it placed somewhere in the UK bit, and i would love to open a proper tea shop like Betty's in York (my fave).
Don't think that would ever happen, but have got a secret dream one day when we are going through some sort of mid life crisis that we would pack it all in and go over for a year.

If they offer decent health benefits I'd do it in a heartbeat once my kids are grown. If not, not a chance - no way I'd live in the States without decent health coverage!

I would love to be in one of the Parades, even if i was just driving one of the floats :thumbsup2

Dave would love to work in Florida and if he could manage to be a green keeper (his job already here in the UK) on one of their course that would be a dream come true for him

Me I would love to work in bibbity bobbity boutique or the pirates league

I am not really interested in working at Disney World, but could be convinced if I had the chance to work with the dolphins in Epcot. However, I would love to work for Disney Cruise Line.
