Would you want an Aladdin restaurant in Magic Kingdom?

I liked the one in DLP, I wouldn't mind seeing that come to MK. The food options in MK do need improvement and more variety.

We ate at the one in DLParis in 2019. The décor fit the theme, the food ok. I think that it might fit in better at EPCOT in the Morocco Pavilion though.

Nice that the one in Paris has vegetarian choices on the menu.
Hmm…an Aladdin restaurant in MK?
Until the park starts treating the food offerings at the park seriously I see no reason to add another concept. Had hopes for the upgrades at the Beast eatery but it didn't happen. Let them fix what they have first.

Not interested in characters at the Morocco Pavilion either.

EPCOT's version has never been great but it could be, it's got a crummy bazaar and smells like waterlogged leather right now, always thought that it lacked Imagineering. The Middle East has some amazing food so a menu that pulls a little from all over would be amazing, one of the nice things is the food from there naturally accommodates so many dietary limitations that it would make dining so much easier for so many people.

Maybe make a character dining spot in the bazaar and a high end restaurant with better food at the other, oh and cut out some windows for Pete's sake, it's so dark in there. They did an amazing job with the high end place in Mexico.

I think it would be cool if there were Jordanian dishes at the restaurant. The Disney live action movie was set in Jordan and the Disney cartoon seemed to be too. That region in Jordan is known for some unique recipes, so that could allow more variety in Magic Kingdom. A lot of my history friends like to debate time periods in classic Disney movies and most thought Aladdin would have been taking place in 13th century AD (the Crusades time period). I guess Robin Hood and Aladdin could only be friends in a Disney movie (history joke)🤣. And yes, I know Aladdin was originally portrayed as Chinese Muslim in Baghdad when it was translated by a 18th century Frenchman. But Disney totally changed him into a Jordanian Arab to fit their new setting for their fictional city of Agrabah.:confused3

The time period Aladdin is probably historically set:

Just thought people would find this interesting.:-)

I’d be more interested in a princess and the frog “Tiana’s“ restaurant in Magic Kingdom, but as others said, if the food is good maybe an Aladdin restaurant and Epcot
This just gave me an idea: a “Princess and the Frog”/“Soul” restaurant celebrating jazz and New Orleans culture. Gumbo, etouffe, beignets, NY pizza, you name it! Put it over by the Haunted Mansion somewhere.

Would that be part of Liberty Square or Frontierland?

That would work as well, but the northern end of all that is the Haunted Mansion.

Our personal opinion is that Frontierland needs to go and be overhauled. You could put the restaurant just south of Splash Mountain where Pecos Bill is located. Columbia Harbor House would be another possible location.

For some reason my first reaction was that would be great in AK! But there's already more good not-standard-American-theme-park food in that park than I am able to eat, since AK is normally a single day for us.
So, sure! That'd be a treat in either EPCOT or MK. Just get the Disney bosses in line and I'll make my ADR once it opens. :)

I wish Disney would consider this idea, do it, and say “thanks Disboards for the great idea”. One could dream right? 🤣

Would you want the restaurant in a market setting like in DLP or would you want it in Princess Jasmine’s palace?🕌

Columbia Harbor House should stay. Pecos Bill could go away in my opinion. A princess and the frog restaurant could go there but it might work best in WDL since it has a New Orleans Square. They could always add it at the Port Orleans French Quarter since they could use another sit down restaurant. It could have character meals as well.
