My Dh and I would love to do it for nothing other than to see the big brothers of 13 and 9 squirm!! I just know that this is a really hard ressie to get and I didn't know if the 18 mo DD would enjoy it a lot. We've done Pooh and Chef mickey character breakfst/lunch/dinner but nothing else. I personally am so excited about being able to take a GIRL to GIRL things in Disney. You have no idea how many times I've been outvoted in the past because things were "too girly"l Silly boy!!s

Go for it! We have a boy 11 and two girls 7 & 2 (we tipped the scales!!!) I used to get that too, but as you can see, we out number them now! princess:
We went to the Akershus breakfast when the youngest was 15 months and she really enjoyed it. She was in awe when she saw them... it was so sweet :lovestruc She saw her older sister and the other girls with the princesses and she wanted to do what they were doing. She even wore her snow white dress. The memories and pictures were so worth it! Your Dd is young, but I think she would love it. Relax and see how it goes.
AND after 2 boys, I think you deserve some girl fun!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

Yes, I would. princess: But then again, I'm still trying for a ressie for my DD-12. In the 4 times we've been to the World, we've yet to score one. :confused3 My sister & her family - on their first trip this week - have one for Saturday. (I'm in the doghouse for now ... we go for Christmas, so wish me luck on September 23rd when I hit my 90 day mark.)

Good luck!

It depends. Is the 18month old well-behaved? Nothing ruins a special meal for children and adults than a crying baby. If so, I don't see why you shouldn't bring her. Your baby may or may not enjoy it. Sounds like you are doing it for you - nothing wrong with that.

I get mad a parents who bring their babies (not kids) to events where they don't belong. For example, the parents who brought their crying baby into the Lord Of The Rings movie I went to. Kid kept crying during the dialogue.

She's only a year now, will be 18 months in Jan so don't know about the well behaved thing yet. Our first 2 were though, don't see bad behavior as a way of "expressing yourself" so she had better behave as well!! I will definatley get her to wear a "princess' costume. She is either going to be a princess or Minnie for Halloween, so it will be easy to use it again.

Babies crying are a way of expressing themselves. They cannot talk yet. So, they cry. That is the way they communicate, thier wants, desires, and feelings. Has nothing to do with thier good, or bad behavior. Now, don't get me wrong. I have yet to take my daughter to a movie. Because, if she get's antsy, she may cry. Me personally, I would remove myself from the movie. So, if I am sitting outside of the movie, why even go in my opinion. But, not everyone thinks like me. Some parents take thier babies everywhere. And will do movies, broadway shows, etc with thier babies. Now, to say that parents should not bring thier babies out with them, for thier babies may cry? Is wrong. Honestly, character breakfast, are geared for children. Yes, I love them also. But, when I go, I know in my mind. There will be children, there may be tears. And, that's ok. That's life. To think of it. We were babies once also. We use to cry. Right?

Anyhow, to the OP. Take your precious angel. I am so sure, you, and your family, will treasure those memories forever. And, hey, that is what it is all about right? Have fun, you all will love it !!! :wave2:

I am taking my 19 month old to the Cinderella Breakfast. :Pinkbounc I think that your daughter will be fine - it's a character meal so people expect kids. Plus since they are face characters she probably won't get scared as easily as she would with the other characters. I'm going to put my daughters in princess dresses, my 19 month old is going to be on cloud nine she loves to wear dress ups! princess: Have fun and take lots of pictures.

Enjoy your little one!

Amy

that is a good point about the face characters being less scary. i am thinking of a character meal for gd (will be a little over 2) any ideas in case CRT is to hard to get??( not to change the initial thread theme to much)

Yes DD was 18m when we took her to CRT and Cinderella scooped her up off the chair and they were whispering back and forth and it was very magical - she'll love it!

We took our 16 month old nephew and his 5 year old brother one morning. My SIL & I wanted to eat breakfast with the princesses and so our whole group (incl my DB and DH) went.

I'm not too sure the 5 year old liked it all that much - although he did smile when the waiter addressed him as "mi lord". (The big guys liked that, too, LOL).

We have a cute picture of Cinderella making a fuss over the little guy - he was so busy devouring everything in sight that I don't think he cared where he was or who else was there. :teeth: MY SIL & I loved it!

So I say - go for it. Those boys should be able to stand one thing that their Mom and little sister might enjoy!

Best wishes-

The first time we took my DD to CRT she was only 8 months and she loved it! I know she didn't have a clue who these princesses were but she has a toothless grin from ear to ear in every picture. So even little princesses can enjoy the magic

I would definitely take her if you want to go. Let her watch some sing alongs with the characters or something like that and she will get familiar with them.

We took our DD to a Wiggles concert (I know, off subject  ) when she was 16 months. I thought she would just enjoy dancing with other kids and hearing the music. I thought she was too young to understand that the Wiggles would actually be there. I totally underestimated her. She knew exactly who was there and actually cried when they left the stage. :(

Here's my fav pic from CRT  Have fun!!

OHHHHH!! OMG! That is so cute!! I love seeing little kids dressed up in costumes. #1 Pocahontas, she is beautiful! I too say go for it. She may or may not remember it. But you will, and you will have the pictures to show her. So go, and have a great time. I did, and I loved it (I'm a 20-year-old kid at heart. :teeth: ).
