Would you take a 2 yr old to a college basketball game?

I have the opportunity to take my 2 year old DS to a college basketball game on Dec. 31. It's a day time game and it's free (my DH knows the people at the gate, DH is a reporter). I'm just not sure if it's a good idea. It's not the kind of place where he could move around, it's a very small place (Cameron Indoor at Duke). Any advice?

Why would you expose your DS to such a place? You do realize that DOOK is the root of all that is evil, right?

I say go for it. Try to sit right behind the Dook bench, however. That way, if he starts to whine and complain, it will blend in.

DH has taken both of our kids to college basketball games and they LOVE it! In fact he is taking them tomorrow- they are 5 and 2 (really almost 3). DS was a very busy toddler and enjoyed the fast pace of the games. I think you should be fine. Enjoy!

I took my 3YO to a basketball game recently thinking he would love it. This kid, who is up for anything usually, was FREAKED OUT by the noise level. I've never seen him like that.

I would never take a child to a DUKE game!!! OK, we are huge Carolina Fans...

Ds has been going to Carolina games as well as professional games since he was a year old. Take a bag a toys and snacks and expect to do some walking around but go and enjoy. Dress him in a cute (I can not belive I am saying this) DUKE outfit and take the camera. Have fun!!1

Just to be clear we're not Duke fans. But DH covers Duke for the newspaper. He went to Carolina, but grew up an NC State fan. Our DS is going to be very confused
