Would you recommend Crystal Palace?

We have always had a great breakfast meal there. We've been twice and are looking forward to our meal there in Aug. We originally had dinner booked but we like the breakfast so much we changed. The characters are fun too--even for big kids! I'd say go!

Hi! I am just wondering how you got this cute tinkerbell on your post? (I'm new and barely know what I am doing!) thanks!

Hi tinkershell!

Welcome to the DISboards! I guess you did a "search" because this is an old thread. If you want to , you can "PM" (or private message) a person my clicking on their name and then selecting the "private message" option. that way, they will be sure to see your question! Good luck! I still haven't figured out how to get cute things in my posts! :)

CP is the one meal we never miss. We tried the dinner once but it wasn't for us however the breakfast is amazing. Even my DF like it and he is that annoying patron who asks if the oj is freashly sqeezed and then argues with you if he thinks your lying. The freash made omletes made to order are devine. The fruit is always the freshest and my goodness the selections are overwhelming. We make it a point to eat either a very light dinner the night before or nothing at all so we can really enjoy the meal. We do ADR's at 8:05AM on a day MK opens at 9AM so we get early acess. Then if we are still eating when the ropes drop one of our 2 teenage DS's go get Fast Passes to one of the mountains whil my DH who could spend the whole day eating there finishes up. This is one of the few restaruants that both DS's have continued to request every trip since they were 5 and 6 years old. princess:

We could not make a trip to WDW without going to the Crystal Palace. We all (me, DH, DS4,DS8) love the food and the atmosphere. The characters are a great bonus. We've only done dinner there, but would love to try the breakfast on our next trip in May.

Food is great! First time we went we had already done a character breakfast with Pooh and gang so we weren't interested in them per se. The food is fresh, many options and good quality. We'll be back next month and we were talking about where to eat while waiting for parade/fireworks and my husband immediately said CP.

Just made an ADR for breakfast and now I'm excited about it! So... tell me more about this Breakfast Lasagna I've heard so much about...

My husband and I have been to Disney together twice and have done The Crystal Palace character breakfast both times. We love it. The food is great and the characters are great. We do not have any children, but we still do character meals (mostly for me, but he likes them too) and Pooh is one of my favorites. The character dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern is GREAT too.

We went to the Crystal Palace for breakfast last year and loved it. The food was excellent and I enjoyed getting to the Magic Kingdom early. We were able to park our car in the first row, took the monorail and were allowed to enter the MK at 8:00 a.m. - we had an 8:15 PS. Got to walk down Main Street practically by ourselves. Very nice.

It was me (age 53) and two teens both 17 - we had fun. I have to say we are big Pooh fans. We enjoyed the whole experience and plan to go again in January.

Just went to the CP for dinner in Aust. All enjoyed the meal but it was very LOUD. We have had breakfast there and it has never been like this. It ws crowded and there was alot of yelling for the characters and I felt like the tables were moved closer together.
The food was good but the atmosphere was very disappointing.

We were just debating trying CP or doing Tony's, which we've done before. The reviews were very helpful! We'll choose CP! Thanks again!

We loved the CP for breakfast in Aug. The server was really good...checked on us alot to make sure we had enough drinks, etc. The character interaction was really, really good, too. We didn't stay long (only about 45 minutes) but we were ther long enough for all the characters to come around twice. I thought the food was very good and fresh, too. DD2 didn't eat at all, as she was WAY more concerned about where the characters were and what they were doing.

I would definitely do this again.

We ate there back in June and we LOVED it!! It was a little hectic but worth the character interaction and the food was great too!!! And we timed it perfect as we were leaving Wishes! started and we got to enjoy Wishes! from the front porch it was awesome!!! My son who is 6 was in heaven!! And my 17 year old daughter really enjoyed the atmosphere too :)

We have had the character breakfast buffet at Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, and the Polynesian. Personally, we prefer Chef Mickeys. The food is good, character to guest ration is great, and we enjoy those characters the most. Guess it depends if you are going for certain characters. When we did the others it was the first week in Feb. (not very busy) but we had to go over to a CM, and ask for a couple of characters because we had already eaten and waited quite a while for them.
Also did the dinner @ chef mickeys, that was good too, but I think it was a little pricey for what we got.
 Good luck, I'm sure you'll have a blast whatever one you choose.

We were there on Monday for lunch. It was FABULOUS!!! My dh and I think ourselves to be pretty critical of food...it was fresh and very tasty. I had very low expectations of the character meals...which we picked for our dd (2yrs) benefit...and they were GREAT meals.
I think CP had great choices at lunch.
