Would you pay to be buried at Disney World?

I would not want to be buried there and like all others are saying, I wouldnt want a cemetary to exist there.

I have thought about my gravestone for many many years and I told hubby I want it to engraved with my name, dates and a quote. With 3 kids and the hubby I have, I want it to say "Leave Me Alone".

Nope. I have no interest in where my earthly remains end up. I'm not going to know the difference...

I wouldn't want to be buried in WDW, but my family has instructions to have me cremated and my ashes spread between the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian. Of course, this will be done at night and in discretion. ;)

So, I do plan on spending my eternity somewhere that brought me peace, relaxation and happiness while I was alive. :) I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be after this life.

I would rather speand my money while I am still alive but going to Disney as many times possible, having a good time with my family, and then since i don't want to be buried, just have my ashes spread between Disney and the mountains.

There was a post on this subject about a year ago.
I said yes that I would want to be buried at WDW, but now, I don't think so.
While I love the place, I love the UP of Michigan more.
My kids know I want to be cremated and if they bury my ashes, fine.
I would like my ashes spread up on Mackinac Island, but when I am gone, I am gone. Whatever my kids do, is okay with me.

I was just thinking...

Maybe Ill have hubby call Disney and tell them Im dead. Ill probably receive a pincode the next day!!!

No way and I wouldn't even want to visit WDW if they put a cemetary there. The last thing I want to see or think about when I'm there is someone's final resting place.

Of course, with all the weeping and grieving families everywhere, they may loose their title as "The Happiest Place on Earth."

Yes, exactly.
I go to Disney to escape reality, not confront it.

I would not want to be buried there and like all others are saying, I wouldnt want a cemetary to exist there.

With a hubby and 3 kids too, mine is going to say Finally, some peace!

I'd rather be buried in a beautful meadow, but if you want to be buried there one day, than that's pretty cool too. :thumbsup2

Only if I could be one of the bodies buried outside the Haunted Mansion with a funny tombstone.

Otherwise, I want to be quietly cremated and have a big, big party a few months later.

I find it super creepy that people have spread someones ashes in Disney. First of all, it's not really "ashes" and for a regular sized person, would be quite a pile of stuff. I really don't want to be walking on the beach at the Poly wondering if I'm stepping in Aunt Ida.

And don't you think that would pile up in say, a year?? Why not instead tie them to a few of those stinking $10 Mickey head balloons I got sucked into buying last year and give them a straight shot to heaven??

I thought they already had a cemetery in WDW. :confused3 Isn't that what all those stones are in front of Spaceship Earth? Looks like one!

I don't think I'd want to be buried at Disney World. Although it's the Happiest Place on Earth, it just seems kinda weird to me.

As a regular Disney go-er, I'd be kinda freaked out to know people were buried near by, but I'm weird about that kind of stuff

Initially, I thought this would be a great idea. My wife has always said she'll sprinkle my ashes somewhere in Epcot. The more I think about it, I'd probably get cleaned up and thrown out with the trash that way. Since I fully intend to be a ghost, I think I'll simply just go there and hang out in my spirit form.

See you there... (someday).
