If Disney were to develop a cemetery at Walt Disney World, would you pay to be buried there. And if so, what would you want your tomb stone to say. If you opted for cremation, where would you want your dust to be sprinkled at or on?:littleangel:

Yes I would..in a heartbeat. Or in a lack of a heart beat. :)

I have been thinking about this for years! Disney really should consider this. It would be a cash cow. There are so many people that have made Disney a huge part of their life. It would be so cool for me to be buried down there, and then my kids can take WDW trips with their kids and family and visit me. I would always be a part of their time down there.

I'm not saying Disney has to put it in a park, but they have enough property down there, they could section of a piece that is nearby, and easily accessible from the resorts. If my DH died before me, and it was available, that is where I would bury him. I would want him to do the same for me.

No, I love Disney and all but I don't live and breath it, it's a place I go to vacation. But then again there are other places I go as well and have no desire to buried in any of those places either.

Maybe its just me, and my views on death and cemeteries, but I would not want to be buried there and I don't think I would even want a Disney cemetery to exist.

I associate Disney with life and being alive. I understand the comfort it would give to others and I am glad they would see a benefit from that.

I think the ultimate memorial for our loved ones is in our hearts.

Just my opinion

One Exception: If they had this Disney Cemetery, then it would have to have attractions, like one really huge HM.

I wouldn't.
But...it would give my relatives a great excuse to visit WDW more often than they might otherwise. As in, "Yes we've already been to WDW twice this year but we just CAN'T go through the Holidays without paying our respects to dear old Great-Granny, so we just MUST do one more WDW trip this year." I could do that for them. :wizard:

You know a WDW cemetery would have to have a table service restaurant (imagine the theming) or at the very least a CS, and of course a gift shop that you have to go through to get out of the place. It really could mean $$$ for Disney. :littleangel:

No way and I wouldn't even want to visit WDW if they put a cemetary there. The last thing I want to see or think about when I'm there is someone's final resting place.

Of course, with all the weeping and grieving families everywhere, they may loose their title as "The Happiest Place on Earth."

In my written final arrangements, I have a request (if possible) to sprinkle my ashes somewhere private at WDW.

Its not something I wish for any longer.

Thanks for reminding me. Time to update that now.

I am hoping after making so many wonderful memories with my family there, they will want to visit after I'm gone to remember those times. Hopefully when my children take their children, they will say this was her favorite place in the whole world to be. Even if my body isn't there I dont know how a trip to WDW would not remind them of me.

I want my ashes thrown in the river leading to Niagara Falls. I'd love to go over the falls, but only when I'm dead first :rotfl:

There you go, the fifth theme park called "The Haunted Park"

I can see the add ad now.

Welcome to Haunted park where everyone is dying to go to.

or

The haunted mansion has room for one more but we have room for many.

ITA! I think that's going a little too far. And I wouldn't enjoy the attractions, either, if I knew the ashes of dead people had been thrown on or around them.

I bet there are a few staying there forever now. I wonder how many weighted bags have accidently slipped over board.

Nope. If I'm going to spend any money at Disney I'd rather it be while I'm still alive to enjoy it.

no, as much as I love Disney World, there are places that I love more.

I am one of those people who does not care about the dispositon of my remains, as long as it is done respectfully and legally. I see my remains as nothing more than dust and ashes, so there is no meaning to me to have them spread any where special.

I feel the same way. You want to do me a favor after I'm dead? Just think of me every now and then. My only wish is not to be buried - I don't want to take up the space. Really.

The New Disney Cemetery: Where People Are Just Dying To Get Into!:littleangel:

I had read somewhere ..perhaps even on these boards that people do sneak a loved one's ashes and sprinkle them over the bridge beside the castle the one with the Snow White Wishing Well.

When they started selling the bricks my DH thought it would be funny so he took the phamplet and went to the kiosk where the CM was taking orders and asked if he could be burried under one of the bricks if he bought one. The kid was speechless ...his face turned red and then he said ahhh no you cannot do that.

LOL! So then my DH decides he will make him squirm and says well they are to commorate a milestone in your life and death is a milestone. After a few minutes I took pity on the CM and told him DH was only kidding. It does not translate well here but honestly it was quite funny.

I did tell DD and DS that upon my death I wanted cremated and sprinkled around the rose garden at Magic Kingdom. DD said NO WAY will you be cremated. She also said it would probably be illegal. DS said NO PROBLEM he would do it. Guess who I left in charge of my remains when the tme comes:rotfl:. Not that it will be a problem for them to visit me as I will be leaving them each a disney timeshare. So they can visit me and then have lunch with cinderella.princess:. Susan
