Would you move your trip up from September to May?

I agree with you on the activities and accommodations, although I don't think F&W starts that early does it?!
We were there during FLower and Garden and Star wars this last may, and while flower and garden was pretty, we arent into star wars (yet anyway) so that wasnt a huge draw for us.
We wouldn't be able to go back in the fall for the halloween party for at least 2 years, maybe three or more because I will be entering a Nursing Program. We could go in May anytime. This is what is pulling me to keep the September trip over May.

Nope, no F&W that early. But we went right after Labor Day this past September and it was great. The crowds were super, super low and there were hardly any lines for anything. I haven't been in May, so I don't know the weather differences. Yes, September is hot, but we were fine. The rain usually didn't stick around too long. We just powered through it. There was one long, chilly rain we spent huddling in Mitsukoshi at Epcot, and another that involved racing for cover with a heap of napkins over our food praying it wouldn't get too soggy by the time we got indoors, but as long as you have a sense of humor about it (and a water-resistant bag with some ziploc baggies for phones) it's really not that bad. We didn't even bother with ponchos. Really, the main issue with the rain was getting on the buses and freezing because of the AC!

We would definitely go in September again. The only reason we're going a bit later in the fall in 2015 is to do F&W, otherwise we'd totally go back after Labor Day.

Since you have a kid who's excited about Jack and Sally, and since you got a great deal on the Poly, I'd stick with September. Especially since you can go in May whenever.

I think you sound like you want to stick with September. You sound excited about the resort, and your daughter sounds excited about the characters -- she might not be so excited about them 3-4 years down the road, so it seems like a shame to miss out on the MNSSHP when you've got everything booked and ready to go.
