Would you make Ps for 4 vs 2?

The problem is that they have ps for 4 but not for 2 at the time we need. Would make the PS for 4 knowing only two are going and later call and change it to 2?

I would - if we cant get a table for 2 once our PS window opens up
I'll be calling back and asking for a table for 3 - I mean, DH can change his mind until the very end on whether he's going w/DS & myself or not

This happened to me by accident...I made a PS for 6, then a few weeks later the couple we were to dine with realized they couldn't go. I called WDW DINE back to change the PS to 4 and they said that they couldn't. I would have to cancel and make a new one for 4, however there were none for 4 left! They advised me to keep the PS I originally had, then when I arrive for dinner tell them the correct number of diners to be seated. There wouldn't be a problem.
