Would you just wing your dining plans on this last day?

Here's our vacation schedule this year.....

June 23-29 we'll be in DisneyWorld at the Wilderness Lodge, on the Dining Plan and have everything in place (can't make ADR's yet but we know where we WANT to eat)

June 29-July 3 we'll be on the Royal Caribbean Monarch of the Seas heading to the Bahamas.

July 3---when we get off the boat (in Port Canaveral), we're renting a car and heading back up to Disneyworld and staying at Coronado Springs. We have one more WDW ticket and thought we might as well use it while we're down there (we live in CT, so it's only about every other year that we head down to Disney) Nine out of ten times we'll probably use that day in the Magic Kingdom. It's my DH's favorite park. We won't be on the dining plan for this day so I'm thinking that for breakfast (we'll be eating on the cruise ship), grab a burger/sandwich in the Magic Kingdom for lunch but I'm up in the air about what to have for dinner. Not sure if I want to make an ADR for somewhere or just wing it and grab something when we're hungry.

When we're in WDW for that first week, we're hitting MK twice. We will be eating at Crystal Palace for breakfast one morning and Cosmic Rays for dinner. And the other morning we'll grab something at the hotel and then heading back to the hotel for dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe. There really isn't anywhere for a sit down dinner that we like at MK.

So what would you do on the last day? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

and for those who are curious as to why we would have an extra ticket that we're not using during that first week is because.....originally we purchased 7 day tickets. But when my DH was looking at plane tickets, he found some at a great price (but they didn't leave until a day later) so that basically cut our vacation down a day. And we really couldn't take a day off of our cruise because that was already booked. So we decided to take a day off of the WDW trip. But we still had that extra ticket, so we thought....hey after the cruise, let's head back up there and use up this ticket. That's why LOL

What about heading over to the Poly for Ohana's. That's always one of our faves but I would make an ADR for sure. There's The Wave at the contemporary which looks like an interesting place to try and you may be able to get in without an ADR.

I myself wouold choose Liberty Tree, this is our favorite restaurant in MK.

Well there are a bunch of good ones just a monorail ride away. Are you going to be traveling with children? What kind of food do you enjoy? Are you looking for a character meal?

Narcoossee would be a great one. Or Kona for more casual. Or just eat at the Pepper market at the hotel.

ya know, if it were my family - after all that food on the cruise ship we would just "wing it" the whole day and eat CS ...that way youcan do what you want in the park or park hop if you want an dnot have to worry about getting to a meal at a certain time..

we never have ADR's on our last day so we are "free" to do what comes up...

JUST CURIOUS WHAT KIND OF FOOD DO THEY SERVE AND IS IT A SIT DOWN OR FAST FOOD? THANK YOU:cool1:

Some of the best meals that we've had at WDW have come from winging it and deciding on a whim. You can always make the ADRs just in case, and cancel ahead of time if you feel you are just not up to it.

We love Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch. We've only done dinner there when it was a character meal, so not sure what they're dinner menu is like there now.
I can tell you that the pot roast that we've had there for lunch is DELICIOUS! and a nice environment away from it all in the midst of the MK. You can find a menu of their offerings on allears.
We LOVE Ohana, but honestly after a stay in WDW, then the cruise, you might be all fooded out (ok, I know that's not proper ;) ) and it might be a bit much. We also like to get pulled pork sandwiches at Captain Cook's at the Polynesian (their food court area) and eat them on the beach at the Poly and watch the world go by at the world!

Have fun, it sounds like an AWESOME vacation!!!

We always wing it. We do maybe one pre-planned meal the whole trip. I don't know what I will feel like eating until I'm hungry, how can I plan? We have had some great meals, never gone hungry and never really waited a long time to get in anywhere.

I think the pre-planning meal stuff is a bit overhyped but that's just my opinion.

We always wing it on our last day. We are too tired and don't want to be rushed and HAVE to be somewhere.

I think after the cruise and all you are doing I would just wing it on that night.
We love Columbia Harbour House for a different CS meal.
DH and DS always get the soup and sandwich and get the clam chowder. I love the tuna sandwich they have.
Have a wonderful trip.
