Would you go to MGM on 1st day of...

star wars weekend? we are arriving on Sat., but our hopper passes begin on Sunday. We want to see the star wars special characters,....but will it be too crowded???? what about waiting til later and doing the extra hours???

The first day is actually Friday, but as it's the first weekend and the movie comes out the Thursday before, who knows. I think it's a bit of an unknown quantity. If you are going for the Star Wars element then it's probably a not to miss day/weekend. I think the extra hours might make it more crowded, but you know I really haven't a clue!!

Absolutley get there before the park opens!! The storm troppers are standing on top of the Ticket booths -- and you'll get to talk to alot of other Star Wars Lovers. My daughter and I went last year and it was awesome. I wish we could be there this year, especially with the new movie coming out in 5 Days!!!

We are planning to do the same thing...arrive Sat and go to MGM on Sun. Whether it's crowded or not, I think having the kids see the SW characters, parade will make it worth it.

Personally, I'd go! My DH (and now BOTH of my girls) are BIG Star Wars fans. We'd just have to go and brave the crowds!!!
