Would you eat dinner at 9:00 p.m. if it was at Le Cellier?

I am probably the only person on this board who is not "gaga" over LeCellier ... so I would vote "no".

Can you explain why? I have been trying the last 3 years to get a Ressie for this place, and finally have one for lunch in Oct!:thumbsup2 I figured there must be SOMETHING SPECTACULAR about this place, to even GET a ressie in free dining month in Oct.:confused3

Yeah, I probably would...and here's why...

I've found that - at WDW - you're so into what you're doing that time is meaningless. A 9:00 dinner at the end of a long day is a great way to wind down.

If you're concerned, try showing up a bit early and see if they can seat you early.

As a side note, with the summer heat this summer, I've noticed that - generally speaking - I'm just not ready to eat dinner until closer to 8:00. I'm planning for next June, and I think I'm going to adjust our planned ADRs so that our dinners are around 8:00 or 8:30 instead of 6:30 or 7:00.

I would not do it again. We did this once and we were seated so far behind, it was after 11 when we headed back to the Beach Club after dinner.

Nope not the only one, I think Le Cellar is average at best. As far as 9:00 goes we are west coasters and basically stay in the Pacific time zone when we go to WDW so 8:30 to 9:00 is typical for us.

If it's somewhere you really want to try I say definitely. I had difficulty getting a ressie too so I took one on a day that I really hadn't planned on going to Epcot. I also took a 8:50 pm ressie for Ohana since I really wanted to try it and that's all that was available.

No, your not the only one. I thought it was good, but it was far from ground shaking, life changing, and being taken into a state of euphoria as it appears so many encounter (or at least by the sounds of the praise). I think it is what it is, a good place but far from great.

I think the reason Le'Cellier is so popular is because it is a comfort food that most like, and being on the DDP as a 1TS it is a good deal. If you go there expecting it to be spectacular I think you will leave very disapointed. If you go there expecting it to be good you will leave with a nice smile on your face, especially if you are on the DDP.

Thanks goofy4!:thumbsup2 I am sure it will be OK, not Spectacular, but its on my to do list, as I have never been there.;)

I had to laugh when I saw this because I have teenagers too and they have so many after school sports and band and youth group and other activities that eating at 9:00 wouldn't be that abnormal for us. Add in that we are in Central Time Zone so our bodies would be thinking it's 8:00 and that would be just perfect.

So my take is, if its somewhere you would like to eat then go and enjoy it. I like to spin things positively so I'd think that it would also be nice to be exiting the park well after the Illuminations crowd has left and having an enjoyable meal while they're all clearing out and clogging the monorail and transportation.

For me no. I enjoy Le Cellier, but I love Illuminations and I hate to miss it if I am right in the park. Now if you have another night to see it, that is different. Honestly, if I wanted a steak dinner, I'd go to Yachtsmen (two ts though) and get an earlier ADR.

I think Le Celllier is really good but not to the point that I will take an ADR that keeps me from doing other things (namely Illuminations). There are so many other places in Epcot that are so much easier to get into!

I would be a no also. Food just okay. We found that there is something there that caused headaches in 3 of us - maybe the AC?? This may have effected how we view the food. Once back outside, it got better.

I would rather see Illuminations anytime rather than have a late ADR.

Hope you enjoy your time at Lecellier
