Would you drive 2 hrs. to save $400?

Although apparently I wouldn't because DH says he doesn't want to drive two more hours when he's tired at the end of vacation.

We did drive 2 hrs to save money and get non-stop flights but that 2 hour drive home after vacation seemed to take forever! I'd have to be saving quite a bit of money to justify it again.

In a similar situation, my parents recently drove 4 hours to Toronto (from Detroit) to get cheaper airfare.

Heck yea!!! I would love to earn an extra 400 for my trip.

That's what we're doing! We are driving 6 hours and saving $1500 on our airfare for 8. Yes, we have to drive and leave early in the morning so we make our late afternoon flight. We still will be paying the same amount to park our vehicles. The only thing extra will be a one night hotel stay on the way back. Well worth the $1500 savings!!

Wow - that's one of the few times that I've heard of someone coming from the US to Toronto for a lower fare!
