would you do rainforest cafe at AK on your AK day?

I just saw that it is on the new DP for 2012 and i booked it quickly. I booked it at 5:30 so that we weren't rushing about in the park to make our rezi. at the front of the park. Now we will just hit is on our way out :0)

Thoughts?

Sounds like a good plan I'm not a big RFC fan but I may be bias since I have one near me in Niagara Falls. I like to do non-chain, unique-to-Disney restaurants while I'm there. If you end up changing your mind, I highly suggest the Tusker House breakfast.

thanks....The only RFC i ever ate at was in niagra falls...and that was over 5 years ago. I agree about the chain restaurants...but i do not like the other AK restaurant options. I think we will eat at flame tree bbq for our QS that day

I'm planning on eating lunch there if it is on the plan next year.

My Dh doesn't really like Yak & Yeti ...& he dislikes buffets like Tusker House. We have eaten at both but with Rainforest on the list we will be going there instead. We both love eating at those.

Yes I would definitely do Rainforest on your AK day. There isn't much else in AK to choose from

I am so excited about this addition to the DDP too!!!! We always pay out of pocket for either RFC or TRex when we go, because we love the atmosphere. Although it is a chain restaurant, we don't have one near to us. I think if we did, we wouldn't go there when at Disney.

Same for us. We are so excited that Rainforest and T-Rex will now be on the DDP! Can't wait!

Thanks for the information! I didn't know that RFC was now included on the DDP. I would definitely recommend it, my kids love it there.

YES. We have an ADR booked for our AK day. As others have said, there's not many options for us in AK - so RFK makes sense for us and saves us from going to DTD or another resort restaurant for our meal

Since there are not alot of choices at AK we usually take advantage of the resort sit downs. It makes it very easy transportation wise because you can take one of the buses back to a resort. We then usually park hop to another park or DTD. We are thinking about 1900 Park Fare this time, not sure yet though.

As far as RF my 11 year old loves it and would be on board. Plus the food is kinda predictable for my picky 15 year old at least.

AK is full day park for me, sometimes even a 2 day park. I LOVE animals and can spend over an hour on each of the treks. So taking an hour lunch is out of the question if the park is open 9-5.

Rainforest would be an option for me if it were for dinner after the park has closed or if AK was open late that day.

If the park closes at 5 and your reservation isn't until 5:30, if it takes an hour to eat that will have you leaving RFC at 6:30. An hour and a half past park closing.

Disney buses run 2 hours after park closing.

We closed RFC at AK this summer and Disney transport was fantastic... they had buses outside and asked which hotel we needed to go to.... placed us on a bus with one other party. We dropped them off and SSR and then we were dropped off at POR!!
