Would you do lunches or dinners for your big meals?

So, I'm trying to decide if we should do PS's for lunches or dinners while we're at the parks. We'll be there in a couple months (Tues.-Fri..leaving Fri afternoon, early evening). I don't want to be so full that we don't want to walk around, but the lunches are A.) cheaper and B.) we'll probably be famished by lunch time! I'm planning on doing 2 lighter meals through out the day and splurge on a nice restaurant once a day. We'll also be heading back to the hotel every afternoon for a rest and nap for my 3yr old.

I was planning on Goofy's Kitchen (which will def. be a dinner), Rainforest Cafe, Big Thunder Ranch, and Blue Bayou.

That being said would you guys prefer doing lunches or dinners at those places and with that type of scheduling? Any specific times or days you guys recommend?

We usually do larger lunches at some of the same places you have mentioned sometime between 12-3 depending on when we arrived and the general consensus is hungry. We really love Celebration Roundup at Big Thunder Ranch. The food is delicious and it's all you can eat so you can definitely get your money's worth. Lunch is definitely the better deal there as well, and doesn't end until dinner begins serving at 4.

We usually do late lunches and then snack for dinner. Less people and sometimes lower prices.

We prefer a big late brunch (Minnie's or Storyteller's) or a big late lunch ~ except for when we dine @ Blue Bayou, we always try for the 1st seating of the day - 11:30am

We do a small breakfast like muffins or pasteries (we want to be fast and get to park opening). We have a big lunch like a character meal (to slow down and have a break after busy morning). We have an afternoon snack (churro, popcorn, or Mickey ice cream). Dinner is usually a quick service that we take back to the hotel.

We like to do a good breakfast and then small snacks until supper later in the evening. But nothing stops us from being there when the park opens.

We actually do quick service breakfast and lunch, take our afternoon break and do a nicer early dinner when we are heading back to the parks (either inside the park or outside). Our only usual exception is Blue Bayou, which we always do for lunch. Works well for our touring style - arrive at RD, stay through lunch, break, return after dinner.

we have lunch at ariels one day
lunch at bb or cafe Orleans for Monte cristo
i order a pizza an save it in the hotel for food at night
we love Minnie's breakfast (on these days we will have late lunch/dinner)
Story tellers breakfast (on these days we will have late lunch/dinner)
one day for dinner we will pick up bangle bbq an fries if we can find them.

Our trip is at the end of May and we were just wrestling with this same issue. We ended up (well, I will know for sure once I make the reservations) decidingt to do Goofys Kitchen for dinner, because if it's anything like Chef Mickeys at WDW, it's a pretty big deal. We did Blue Bayou for dinner, and Big Thunder Ranch and RFC for lunches. For dinner on those nights, we decided we'd just order a pizza, since we don't do that at home alot, and our kids would think that's cool. We also thought to try Bubba Gump Shrimp Co for one of those nights too.
