Would you do Disney alone?

Going by myself? No one to slow me down?, no stopping 10 times an hour for everyone to use the bathroom?, Ride everything I want to ride? Eat whatever I want to eat?

YES I WOULD GO ALONE!!!!!!!

Just did solo for the 4th time. As has been stated...do what you want, when you want, for whatever time and at whatever time you want. There are points to being with someone but solo is great as well.

Been there, done that, 2 and a half times!

LOVED it! I'd do it again in a heartbeat! :teeth:

I'm making my first solo trip in May. Am I nervous? yes! Am I excited YES!!!!!
I was just there in January, but took my 8 y/o GD and her dad. Both are very picky eaters, so I didn't get to try alot of places I wanted to. I'm an early riser, they are not, so I missed alot of things. My GD is 8y/o, so even though I loved seeing WDW through her eyes, we didn't get to do any tours or ride a few rides I normally would.

The trip in May is for me. I get to get up when I want. I've got two PS everyday to try restaraunts I've never tried. I've got three tours booked. May has the new rides opening and the Flower Festival and concerts at Epcot. I spent hours researching and came up with what I thought was a perfect itinerary, except I couldn't fit everything I wanted to do into 7 nights and 8 days, so when the AP discounts came out earlier this week I added two nights to my vacation and spent all day yesterday coming up with another itinerary and calling to redo my PS and tour dates. Nine nights and ten days by myself at WDW doing whatever I want to do. Who wouldn't want to escape the world and do whatever they want for a few days i.e. eat your way around the world, take tours, do a spa day, ride the same ride or see the same show five times in a row just because you can, explore resorts, really take the time and look at architectural details, people watch, buy a stranger a Mickey bar or balloon, take a family picture for someone. Go for it!!!

You took the words right out of my mouth.
A solo trip?
Sign...me....up!

I have gone alone to meet friends before & spent time alone at the Parks on those trips. It was Marvelous! :cloud9: Such a different & relaxing way to do the World.
Sounds like you deserve to treat yourself & build yourself back up. Go for it, fill up on that Magic, Pamper yourself - Enjoy!

Go for it, I go solo all the time and love it. I have a great time, I can go on what I want when I want. I can see whatever show I want to and eat what and where I want too. I also have a great time talking with other guests in the park as well as CM's.

Absolutely! I go to WDW each year . . . sometimes with a friend, other times by myself. When you go by yourself, you never feel alone, but you also feel your quiet time! Odd but true!

As a Christian, I also find that when I go alone, it is great "God and Debbie" time. Before I go, and even during my trip I ask Him to show me what I need to see. And He does! I have had some wonderful eye opening experiences that have made me a much better person!

When I go with a friend, I don't focus so much on my schedule of things I want to see and do, but I focus on spending time with my friend. It is always a win-win situation!

So yes, dear, go alone! You will have sooo much fun! :flower:

In a heartbeat, but I think DH would kill me if I did since he'd be so jealous!

He's even warned me if I have to go to a conference in Disney at any time, he'll be there even if it's only 1 day! :rotfl:

I've been trying to convince myself that I could do this - and still have a good time - for ages now.. LOL.. A few weeks ago I took the first part of the plunge and flew to Orlando and back alone.. That was a big step for me and although I wasn't there to do Disney (was visiting family) I really think I could make the "leap" to going to Disney solo now..

Ironically, I'm on my way back to Florida again the beginning of April (helping my sis move into a new place) and I'm almost tempted to extend my trip a couple of days and hit the parks alone.. Would really like it if my sis would go with me, but if that doesn't work out - who knows???????? :flower:

I would do Disney alone in a minute!! When my sister and I went, we split up for a couple of days and it was great. You enjoy the place, I assume you know your way around. so go for it! You will have a wonderful time.
