Would you consider this a water view?

We were at BLT once on the inside of the C, like the "arms" of the C, that was a lake view. Though the trees, past the pool, you could see a bit of blue.

Would you consider this a water view, or would you be happy if you paid for a water view and this was what you got?
Officially yes that is a water view overlooking the pool. If you want a view of the beach you need to be in 5324 or higher. The Bay lake views are in 6309 to 6322 (third floor).

When you get to the parking lot explain your problem and ask if can park at the end near the tram. My sister has done this.
Also do you have a handicap permit for the car? If not try to get one.

We were in 5319 I think if it was the second or first they could see the water but from the third floor it was mostly tree. My mom payed a few hundred bucks less in all for a better view then I have, so i did end up asking to move. Just conflicted on feeling if it was a justifiable complaint or not. Thanks guys!

Nope. I'm fair about judging a view and I also review whatever is available when choosing. To me although a pleasant view, it's not a water view. Seems like a long time ago before those trees grew it may have been a water view but maybe it's time to review category for this room.

I paid for water view at Yacht Club (first time ever paying for a view) and had a view that I’ve had many times under “garden view” - definitely wasn’t worth the money. I’ve either been lucky in the past or my room was borderline garden/water - I could see water, yes, but unless you looked out over the edge and to the left, you couldn’t see much water.

I expect those trees were a lot smaller when the room was categorized.

If the only choices were "water view" vs. "parking lot view," I'd assume I got what I paid for, but if there were other categories in between, I'd be disappointed (probably not disappointed enough to go through the hassle of moving, but definitely not excited about it.)

Go to the front desk TODAY. Don’t sit on that ridiculousness 🙄 Insist on a move or a refund for the view portion.

VIEW does not mean the same to Disney as it does to most of us. SO to answer your question, yes that is a Disney Water View. To Disney all that means is which way your room is facing. You are facing towards water, doesn't mean you actually have a view. It's been that way for many years.

We once booked AKL Pool View. We could not see the pool even if we leaned out ... we could see all the roofs of the restaurants and the guests across from with all their towels hanging on the railings. I decided then we'd never pay for pool view there again.

There once was a thread where folks posted their view with photos. Some were horrible!!!

That's horrible! Then Disney should re-name the category to be water-side, not water view. I would expect water and this view of a sliver of water between the trees would not qualify in my view. I would be asking to move or a refund of the difference.
