Would you buy an AP for 2021?

We are considering passes for Christmas for our crew, just curious what the gut feeling here is for 2021? We aren’t local, but we are in town at least a half dozen times per year.

If you had passes this year, were you happy with how you were treated? (Extensions, etc)

I will probably buy them this coming year. I let ours expire last February when COVID kicked off because I knew we mostly likely would not be going to FL in 2020. I am very hopeful for 2021 and will most likely buy the 3/4 day pass and just upgrade after we arrive.

When you renew your ap, you get a discount
(Note you must do the renewal by the dates in the email you receive to get bonus time for it, there is a time shut off on free month specials)

I renewed my preferred ap before the park shut down
and received the 3 month extra time bonus under the promo at that time.

I was also given an additional 3 months extension due to the park closings

So the 6 months I received for my ap takes me to March 2022 before I renew next time.

We renewed in order to get the renewal discount. That said, we won't be renewing for 22. The agreement (between DH and I) was that we'd go one more year then we both have other travel goals. So the gamble is If we don't feel comfortable going in 21 at all then we're out the money. Everything else is fully refundable. But it was still cheaper to renew than buy tickets again.

I haven't been in over a year, but we just bought season passes for the first time. Going on Sunday! If you think you will be in town a couple of times in the next year, I'd go for it.

We’re out of state in the middle of the country, and just renewed our Preferred AP last month. Our trip last week was on the renewed passes. Will try to visit again within 6 months, and hopefully 2 more times before the passes need to be renewed. Also, I believe the renewal included 3 additional months, so our passes should be good to February 2022.

Definitely , just renewed our APs but did not get a renewal offer.
I have to say once again, currently Universal Resorts are outshining Disney in my personal observation!
Just one example: I had booked Cabana Bay 12/23-12/28 in September $$1275. And thenthe AP discount reduced it to $860.63 exact same room type& dates (released in October) ... You just have to watch for the APrates!.
That is a big savings! That is 5 nights for their best room category Family Suite Pool View Interior Entry !
Go ahead and see what the POP. Century AP rate is during those dates!
No thank you Disney ...
Plus early entry and
the ParkExpress M- F is 2:00 Saturday& Sunday 4:00
And the Holiday Decor ... everywhere! +++ !
Sorry I love the Grinch forever more!

Quick question - I noticed that it says for the Preferred Pass, it says that I receive discounts for multi-day theme park admission tickets - Has anyone bought tickets with the discount? Does it have to be done at the park directly? How much of discount is it?

trying to decide that now...we only used ours once in early March 2020 - so it was money pretty much wasted - need to decide whether to renew in Jan and risk wasting money if we can't go next year. Even with their extension for when parks closed, we didn't feel comfortable going, as we were in a covid hotspot all year

I hear you. We went in the summer of 2019, and had plans to go again before the passes expired in 2020. We could have gone once they reopened but did not feel comfortable doing so. Between the additional time they were offering at renewal and the discount we now have until December of 21 to use the passes. I feel like if June isn't workable we may punt to October just to use the tickets. It's a chunk of money to just waste, but at the same time it's less of a chunk when renewing vs purchasing a new set of tickets.

There are quite a few discount places for tickets

AAA not always the best deal but it does shave some
money off the purchase.
