Would you bring a Double and a Single Stroller?

We plan on bringing a double stroller for our upcoming trip (DS 4 & DD 10M). I know that there will be times when one parent will stay with DD 10m at the hotel, while the other parent enjoys more of Disney with DS.

Should I bring an extra single stroller, so we don't have to push DS around in a double when this happens? Our DS is a great walker at the mall, but DW is a lot bigger... Thoughts?

Well, I only have one son so idk how valuable my opinion is :rotfl: but I thought I would give you my two cents.

It sounds like two strollers would work best for your family situation, as I would not want to have a four year old walk through the whole park as they would get too tired. However, it seems like a pain in the rear to bring a heavy double stroller and a single.

I would probably consider bringing a lighter umbrella-type stroller for your older child, and then a stroller that would recline for your younger one. Then if you were in the parks and one parent needed to leave with a child, you could leave and not have to worry about who keeps the double.

I would think that having the single would work nice too for things like DTD, a trip to the food court, etc, where older ds could walk, but it would be better for the baby to ride.

I have a double for when I do childcare, and I LOVE it :flower: but it just seems like it would be cumbersome on the buses, so since your party will often be split anyways, I would consider just leaving it at home.

We brought a double and a single umbrella stroller. The double at the parks was great because my 4 yo at the time would have had a difficult time walking. The umbrella was great for short visits to see lights in the evening, touring the resorts and downtown Disney. Places my son would have wanted to walk. Having the double is cumbersome. That was my husband's job though. He's an expert at hauling those things on and off the tram and buses. :teeth:

Both our Single and Double are umbrella folds, and weigh between 18-37lbs.

Maybe at the airport I will push the single with the carseat on it and my DH can push the double...

Now to tell DH, that we are bringing 2 strollers :earseek: ...

Wish me luck! :wizard:
