Would you book just to get your ressies?

Currently we're booked 9-19 to 9-29 at ASMU and I'm waiting for a pin, AP rate (We don't have AP's yet. We're upgrading when arrive.) or general public discount to extend our trip. We want to stay at CBR or if we get a good discount-AKL from 9-29 to 10-3.
9-30 is our anniv and we want to book at Rose and Crown for dinner. With FD, would anyone consider booking just to get the ressie you want?? If I book, I know I need to make sure I change the ressie outside of 45 days, so I'm not charged a booking fee.
Oh this split ressie thing is killing me!

You don't need a room ressie to book an ADR...it only allows you to book at 90+10, but in your case your ressie would start on 9/30 anyways, so the 90+10 gives you no advantage. Even then, they open MOST tables at the 90 day mark anyways...so call 90 days from your date and make an ADR. Rose and Crown shouldn't be a problem getting in at the 90 day mark. When they ask for your confirmation #, tell them you haven't book your package yet.
