I am trying to convince my DH to take a last min trip to WDW in May of this yr. I've gotten airfare & hotel for the 5 of us for $1,000!!! Now, if I can get park tickets cheaper, I may have him convinced. We normally get 5 day hoppers but for 2 adults & 3 kids (4-9 ages), it just breaks our budget. Here is my question, if we were to do 3 parks & get 1 day tickets that weren't hoppers, we could really save. Do you think we would be miserable not being able to park hop, since that is what we are used to? Since it is hot, I would love to be able to spend one day at a water park too. Let me know from those of you that have gone without park hopping, if it is difficult.
Thanks

We always buy park hopper tickets and then we never "hop parks." We always just spend an entire day at the one parks and that's it (boring aren't we:confused:?). So...I guess my answer to your question is that you will fine not park hopping and go for the lesser cost. Afterall, money talks:)

We never spend the entire day at one park. We like being able to hop parks. Could you get 4 day park hoppers and save some money?

Check the budget board - there's a thread about 3 day hoppers with one plus being offered through Alamo.

I have done both. I didn't really notice a difference anyhow. We tend to keep the "hopping" to a minmum so-- for us it isn't a big priority. It really depends on your park touring style. Personally if it came down to making the trip or not-- I'd go w/o hopping!

My DH vetoed the May 2004 trip due to financial reasons. Guess we will go back to original plan of going either Dec 2004 or May 2005. I just can't stand to not take advantage of such low airfares & I need my Disney fix!!!! Guess I'll get there eventually & we'll do it for longer, hopefully!!!

On our last trip (2 adults) we had a 5 day hopper & then we bought a one day pass to Epcot. We certainly enjoyed our last day even though we could only spend it in one park.

If it works out to save $$ for you, I say go for it. Pick a park you love and make that the one you go to for an entire day.
