i have a trip planned for May and there’s a very small chance that my mother will be able to come with me. It would all depend on her husband’s health, so it would be a very last minute decision - definitely after the 60 day FP window and likely pretty far into the 30 day window as well. I was thinking about how to best plan for all eventualities and I had an idea. Could I buy a ticket, create a profile for her in MDE and book fast passes for the both of us, and then if she can’t come, reassign the ticket to myself and use the value towards an AP renewal in August? Would that work? I’ve never had to worry about tickets for anyone other than myself, so I’m clueless when it comes to assigning and reassigning tickets.

As long as a ticket has not been used, it can be reassigned to anyone in your MDE friends & family, including yourself. I'm unsure as to how that would work when using it for an AP renewal. The last time I did that was a few years ago and I had to visit a couple of different guest services locations to get a CM who would do it.

1. Yes.
2. Yes.

I wouldn't bother buying the ticket until you know. When it comes to fast passes, as long as all of the other members of your party have them, they have never turned away a "late addition" to our fast pass party. And we are local and go A LOT so we have encountered this many, many times. They scan and it turns blue, we explain, and they push them through. We added one to our party of 19 in 2015 and have done it many times since then. It is one person, and they tend to follow the majority rules.

Interesting strategy! What is the smallest group you've tried this with?

I'm confused. Are you saying you bring someone who does not have a FP into the FP line with you and ask that they be allowed on with you (because you have a FP)? If so, they technically are not added to your FP party or a late addition, but allowed on rides because you ask at ride entrance and after tapping in shows they don't have a FP? And they have let you done this many times?

New loophole. Dont bother getting enough FPs for everyone in your group, just explain the situation and everyone rides. Double, triple your FPs in one day depending on the size of your group!

What a crock.
