Would this be too many TS for you?

Here is my schedule of ADR's for our trip. We have the free dining and will pay for some OOP.

Wednesday evening (arrival day)
MK - The Plaza (then MSEP, wishes)

Thursday
EPCOT Akershus breakfast, then
EPCOT CP dinner package at 4:45 Garden Grill

Friday
MK- CRT lunch

Saturday
AK - pre-park opening (8:00) Tusker House

Sunday
late breakfast at 1900 park fare
MVMCP - 4:20 dinner at LTT

Monday
HS - Sci Fi dinner at 4:10

Tuesday
MK - CP breakfast 9:20 (hoping for earlier) then
Ohana at 5:40

Does that seem like too much? Will I be able to still squeeze in enough CS? I keep looking at them seeing which ones I could take away, and honestly I love them all. :thumbsup2 But on three of the days I have two TS, and two of the TS are 2 credits. Yikes! But we will be full and happy right?

Also, my DD6 does not like to do a lot of walking and gets tired. I'm thinking the TS breaks would be good? I don't know though. Your thoughts are welcome. :)

It looks good if you are pretty much planning 2 meals per day. You might have trouble using up your QS credits with that 3rd meal.

That is exactly my concern. That on 3 of the days, we are going to be hard pressed to use the CS credits. I wish they would let you turn in two CS credits for a TS. :)

I keep looking at the days we have two TS and I can't bring myself to get rid of any of them. We want to do both Akershus and GG in Epcot. Crystal Palace breakfast and Ohana are both a must. I could give up either the Park Fare or LTT on our MVMCP day, but we have never done either of those so I'd like to try them.

Thanks for your input!

It looks like you are nearly at the point where it would be worth it to upgrade to Deluxe. Have you calculated that?

Since you have free dining, I don't think I would sweat too much about not using all the credits.

But if I were going to get rid of any, it would be The Plaza and LTT. LTT is basically Thanksgiving dinner, so that would be an easy cut for me. The Plaza is good, but you're spending money you don't have to for sandwiches, so I'd probably use a CS credit here. If you cut these two, you now have room for 6 QS lunch/dinners.

I checked a while back before we added LTT, and it wasn't worth it then, so I am thinking we are still better off to pay OOP for the extras now. I also think it would increase my stress level of getting the CS ones in, b/c you still have one CS a day with the dxdp, right? I don't think I want more meals. :)

We could cut LTT and do a CS dinner for the party. I just was thinking it would be nice to have a sit down meal before the party, and I've always wanted to try LTT. I don't think I'll cut the Plaza, because (believe it or not) it was one of our favorites last time. Loved the atmosphere and the food was terrific. It also puts us in a good spot to watch the parade and fireworks. Thanks for your input! I really don't want to cut any of them....

I have three kids 5, 3, and 22 months at the time of our trip. It will be their first trip, so we decided to do Dxddp. We aren't planning on going back to the resort for a nap because my 5 year old hardly ever naps, and my other two are used to sleeping in the stroller. We made a lot of ADR's, so that the kids could cool down, eat, and take a load off. I figure that is better than going back to the resort as far as time goes. I think it's a good idea to eat a lot of TS throughout the day, so your 6yr old can rest:)

it probably would be too many for me, but i don't think it's THAT bad and it might work fine for you. if you really want to go to all those places, then i think you should keep them. if it turns out to be too much then you will know for next time. i think there is a different balance for everyone, and you really need to just try it out to see what is best for you & your family. and yes, i bet the TS breaks will be good for your child.

I don't think you have too many reservations, but if you're wanting to add CS lunches, I do think you'll be hard pressed. Most of your dinners are in the 4:00 hour which is pretty early. If you eat breakfast at 9:00 and then have dinner at 4:30, I can't see being hungry enough to be ready for dinner that early if you also squeeze in a lunch as well. That's a lot of food in a short amount of time. On the days we've done a breakfast and dinner, we've not been overly hungry for lunch. We just needed a snack or a very light meal. If you're wanting to use your CS meals for lunch, could you make a later dinner reservation to spread out your meals more?

I think it looks great! On the days you have 2 Ts booked its for breakfast then dinner so there is plenty time in between..

I've done the same thing a few of our days

Sat- RFC early lunch/ dinner Paridiso 37 @7
Sun- lunch LTT/ 9 pm Wishes Dessert Party
Mon- CR dinner
Tues-Ragland Rd dinner
Wed- early breakfast TH/ 5 pm dinner Ohana
Thurs- Via Napoli dinner
Fri- early 1900 PF/ San Angel 645
Sat- Be our guest dinner
Sun- Kona breakfast

Paying OOP for: Dessert Party, TH, 1900 PF, Kona.

The days we have 2 TS we will just snack and skip lunch and use those QS credits for breakfast the mornings we don't have TS breakfast!

I don't think you are gonna be hungry for lunch inbetween those times. Snacks, yes. A full lunch + dessert like you get with the dining plan, no. I would personally pick which TS you like the most each day and drop the other one, and eat CS during that time instead (saving you money because you wouldn't be paying OOP and would be using all your credits). I would not upgrade to Deluxe because that is even more food. The way we personally make Deluxe work is to have snacks early in the morning, eat a late TS breakfast or earlyish lunch, and then a late siggie dinner. I don't think that would work for the ages of your family.

I don't know if this would work, but one of the things I was considering is on the days I only have one TS, I was thinking of using counter service for two meals. So on my Hollywood studios day, have a CS breakfast, CS lunch, and TS dinner. On one of my MK days, have a CS breakfast, TS lunch (CRT) and cs dinner. If I doubled up on CS on the days with one TS, I wouldn't have to worry about using them on the two TS days.

Would that work?

The 4:20 is the day of the MVMCP, made purposely so we can be done eating early in the night. The 4:45 is the CP package, didn't have much choice there, but I like the time because it gives us a nice window between eating and the 8:15 show (was thinking we might have time to hit some attractions while others are eating at their CP dinners!!)

Ha! That's what I just posted before I read your reply. That is my tentative plan, I think. On the days we only have one TS, I should be able to fit in 2 counter service meals. My kids are used to eating three meals a day (and my youngest grazes all day and never eats enough at one sitting!!). I think it will seem like a lot of food for the adults, because we will eat more at the TS meals, but I know my kids and they will be hungry 30 minutes after our TS. :sad2:

Not for us, but we arent doing the dining plan, using TIW instead. We prefer 2 TS per day and very little QS. We do a late breakfast/early lunch and a dinner. We also dont eat dessert so the DP is a pain for us. I dont think 2 TS a day is too much...

How about on Sunday, you skip Park Fare and instead do a very early lunch at BOG? I think they open at 10:30 (which seems way too early to me!), but you could just do a snack at the resort before you head to MK and then do a "brunch" at BOG. Would use one of your CS credits and eliminate a TS meal. And your daughter might love it!

That looks like not enough to me! lol.. I average a few days with 3 table service meals per trip. It's a lot for most people so you should be just fine with what you have :)

...b/c you still have one CS a day with the dxdp, right? I don't think I want more meals. :)

On the dxdp, all of your credits are good for either QS or TS. That's what my DH and I are doing in Jan because I wanted more sit downs than counter meals. It also gives more flexibility for signature meals if you're into that.

Nice suggestion, but that is our MVMCP day, so we are not planning to be in MK until 4:00, hence the 4:20 at LTT. I am not sure how I am going to squeeze in a CS at BOG at this point. We already have a lunch scheduled for one of our days in MK (CRT) and the other MK day we already have Crystal Palace and Ohana scheduled so that would be a lot of food since our Ohana is at 5:40. I can always hope for a late dinner reservation to open up on our CRT day. But yes, you bring up another point that I am concerned about...squeezing in a BOG lunch is going to be tricky.

We DxDP, every person gets 3 credits per night...the credits can be used for TS or CS.

I don't know how many nights you are staying, but given that you would get a discount and that you are eating so many TS, the math for DxDP may work for you even if you don't use all the credits.
