Would this be possible, same room but two different families?

We are in the process of planning a vaction for Jan 17-26 2007. My DM and DF have asked if they could join us on our trip. They only want to come for 6 days/5nights. My inlaws want to go, too now, and stay for 5days/4nights. I thought maybe it would be easier to get a Studio for the entire time but split it up between the two families, meaning, have the inlaws come from Weds. - Sun and my parents come Sun - Fri. I think my full cleaning would be on Sat though so I didn't know if it would be possible to get it moved to Sunday instead and I wasn't sure how hard it would be to get new keys with my parents names on them issued? It may not even be possible to do this? Would it just be easier to make 2 different reservations? I just thought it would be nicer bc at least my parents would have a room to come to as soon as they got there as opposed to having to wait for it to be ready? Am I thinking too much into this? I know it's still pretty far out but I want to make sure that I have everything in order. Thanks for any and all advice

I would get 2 different reservations, and let people rest up in our room if their room wasn't ready when they arrived. Just my opinion of course!

I think you can do this and I understand why it might be easier for you. Here is a tip that will make sure you CAN do it if you want. It sounds like you will have two guests in the room for each of the nights. Put YOURSELF on the reservation for the whole time and make the reservation for three people for each night. You can then check in the new guests and get their room keys for them if you wish. I'm pretty positive that this will work and you will have no problems with doing it as I recall.

Yes, btw. You can have them change your full cleaning days. We've done this several times in the past where we've stayed the whole time, but have swapped families in and out. This is not a problem at all.

It works unless you are adding dining, than I think it may be an issue to add/change names

Thanks for all the replies. I figured it would be easier to have the room already instead of maybe having to wait until 4 to get it but after thinking about it more, they may take a while to do the full cleaning so it may not be fully cleaned by the time my parents would get there. Realizing this, I may just make the 2 separate ressies. Again thanks for the info, everyone . I guess I still have a little bit of time to fully decide.
