Would this be difficult to do?

I haven't been to WDW in well over a decade, and I have only ever been to MK. My family is headed there for our first family vacation in April.

As was suggested on this board, I tried to figure out our park days and make our ADRs based on where we would be that day. The dinners don't always match up, but we figure we'll have to come back to our room at some point before dinner so the kids (and us!) can take a rest before getting ready for dinner.

Anyway, we have one slot left for breakfast on our scheduled MGM day. I would like to do a character breakfast so the kids are entertained, but my children aren't really into Little Einsteins or JoJo so H&V doesn't really appeal to me.

I was thinking of Princess Akershus Storybook Breakfast. If we could get a first seating at 8, it seems we would have enough time to make it from Epcot to MGM at/or close to its opening. Does this seem feasible?

It won't be enough time, to get there by opening, but it will be close enough. You can take the Friendship boats from the International Gateway at Epcot to the front gate at Disney Studios. That's about a 25 minute trip, assuming you time it right, and the boats are already running. Alternatively, you could probably walk it in about that much time (assuming you have your own stroller for the little ones). Still, with the parks opening at 9AM, getting seated for breakfast at 8AM at Akershus, having an enjoyable breakfast, and then making the trip to the entry of Disney Studios, could take longer than an hour.

Thanks Bicker.

Maybe this would work better. Right now, we are planning to have Breakfast at Chef Mickey's on our second Epcot day. We're staying in the Contemporary so our transportation time is minimal. Now I'm thinking I should switch Chef Mickey's to our MGM day and then go to Akershus on our second Epcot day. If you understood my explanation, does that make more sense?

Maybe my whole schedule would clarify things better:

Arrival night (no parks): 1900 Park Fare (D)
MK Day 1: CRT (B) LeCellier (D)
AK Day 2: Donald's Safari (B) Hoop Dee Doo (D)
MGM Day 3: open for Breakfast Hollywood Brown Derby FDP (D)
MK Day 4: Crystal Palace (B) Yachtsman Steakhouse (D)
Epcot Day 5: Coral Reef (L) Biergarten (D)
Epcot Day 6: Chef Mickey's (B) Mickey's B'yard BBQ (D)
Departure Day 7 (no parks): O'Hana (B)

What about the Hollywood & Vine Character Breakfast At MGM/DHS. If you have kids the character interaction is good and the food is not bad if you like buffets. We had a great time there and have done it twice.
