Would someone mind checking availability? Hopefully new members waiting on ROFR!

We've submitted the paperwork and are now experiencing the tortuous wait of ROFR, so we can't call MS yet to see what is available. With some pixie dust, our home resort will be in the Epcot area...okay, so I'm superstitious!

We're trying to plan our first official trip home during F&W (I know, I know...won't get my hopes up).

I would be very grateful if someone wouldn't mind calling MS to see what is available just so we can get some idea of where we'll be. Travel dates are Oct 22-Oct 27 (5 nights, Sun-Thurs). We'll need two studios.

In truth, what is avaiable now may not be available 5 minutes from now, so checking with MS would be of little value as it takes quite some time after passing ROFR before you can make a ressie.

Given your dates, I would expect no studio availability at BCV, probably none at BWV. For both fo them you would probably have to waitlist. OKW and SSR would mpost likely have some openings because of their size and SSR adding inventory as buildings are completed. VWL would be "iffy".

It is all speculation, of course, you may get lucky and get exactly what you want on your first call. But due to the popularity of the F & W I wouldn't think either of the two EPCOT area DVCs could be booked for that time period on relatively short notice without a waitlist.

Thanks Chuck for the reply and insight. I figured our chances were pretty slim of actually getting what we want near Epcot without waitlisting right now.

Truthfully, I won't be disappointed no matter where we are, we love experiencing all the different DVC resorts. Since we'll be spending most of this visit at Epcot, it just would be really nice to be able to walk from "home".

BCV and BWV are very full that week, especially the night of the 26th as that is the day the DVC Member Cruise returns. We had to wait list for studios that night, they have since come through, but not for all our friends.

Thank you so much for offering that information. I don't really have my heart set on staying anywhere, as being anywhere at DVC is wonderful! It would just be extra magical to make our first trip home, on our first visit during F&W, to be able to walk to Epcot at our leisure.

I can tell you that right now the only studios available during the week of 10/19-10/26 are at OKW and SSR. There are a few one bedrooms available for BWV at the same time but these are preferred view non Boardwalk. Don't know about 2 BR - didn't check those. Good luck and pixie dust on your ROFR!

Thanks for the help, Squidrific. I'll probably reserve at whatever is available and go on a wait list once we close, but I will honestly be happy with just being able to get two studios anywhere at DVC during that time!
