I HATE morning sickness....it's more like ALL DAY sickness!!!!!!

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc
And these little guys make it worse!!!!!!

I know it's miserable, but just think of the wonderful reward at the end of it :D :D

Hopefully it will pass soon.

Oh, do I know how you feel. With both pregnancies, I had morning sickness from week 7 to somewhere in my 6th month. It was funny that the morning sickness was identical in each pregnancy for the duration and intensity.

On my second pregnancy I had just started a new job and had a new gynecologist. I told him that I didn't know how I was going to work. Thank goodness the doctor gave me some Phenergen suppositories. I used them everyday I went to work and they were a godsend. Many people don't like using any meds during pregnancy and that's perfectly understandable. But I could not function. Fortunately, it safe for pregnant women and my kids seem sort of okay....

I'm sorry you are feeling so sick. Some women are hit harder than others. I was fortunate and only had a wave or two of naseua if I went too long without eating.

If it makes you feel any better, I've read studies that say that morning sickness is a good sign of a healthy pregnancy.

Christine...I've often wondered how on earth a woman with morning sickness can even get up and go to work each day....I tried the suppositories with my last pregnancy. I really don't like using them....but I may have to try them again.

Peggy....if that's true then I'm glad.....but couldn't the sign be something like having beautiful flowing hair and glowing skin???:(

Seabands! Get some! :teeth: My friend who is pregnant swears by them. She said they don't kill off all the sickness, but they do help a lot. They're for seasickness, but apparently work on all kinds.

I second the seabands!! I used them in my pregnancy and while they don't take away the sickness, they help tremendously and take the edge off!!

Congratulations!!

One of my friends had morning sickness all day/night from day 1 until she delivered. I felt so bad for her.:( I was one of the lucky ones and never had morning sickness with my pregnancies.

My SIL said she's read that morning sickness is caused by a bacteria called Helicobacter pylori (or H. pylori). I'm not sure if they can give you an antibiotic for it while you're pregnant though (they found out my SO had H. Pylori not too long ago and they had to give him 2 strong, strong, strong antibiotics, plus they emphasized him taking his Prevacid while he took the antibiotics to help fight off the bacteria).

I hope your morning sickness goes away soon, Amy.:) Did you find out when you're due?:)

What are seabands??? They sound vaguely familiar....

My appointment is Monday morning...so I'll find out then!!!!!!! I'm actually really anxious because the last time I was in for a check-up I reassured the doc that we were DONE and that DH had his appt. set for a vasectomy.....

Heaven help the person who lets out with "Haven't you figured out how this happens????"

I feel your pain. I was terribly sick for 6 months with each of my kids. I never got around to feeling good with either pregnancy. Unfortunately, the Sea Bands did nothing for me, so don't get your hopes too high about them. I read about these ginger lollipops that are supposed to quell the nausea - they're called "Preggi Pops," or something like that. My SIL used Phenergan, and both her kids are perfectly fine. I didn't want to take anything with my pregnancies, so I stuck it out and suffered. If I ever had to do it again (certainly not on purpose! LOL!!), I think I'd go for the Phenergan.

I was terribly sick 6 months with both my kids. Worse the second time since I still had to be mother to my 3 yr old! Seabands did nothing for me, though I did wear them at times  . At around 5 months a Coke icee seemed to be one thing that I could keep down and the cold ice in them seemed to help the nausea.
Both my kids now LOVE these things:p ! I lost about 15 lbs with both of them the first 4 months. I do NOT know how people could work feeling like that! Congratulations and good luck!:D

Forget going to work.......... or anywhere else for that matter. During both of my pregnancies I was so sick I could barely get off the couch until the 5th month.

My best friend, on the other hand, not a moment of morning sickness. Boy was I jealous of her!!

Strange how pregnancies affect everyone so differently.
I hope you feel better soon!! {{HUGS}}

I feel your pain! But to me morning sickness was a godsend. I lost my first, morning sickness-free, pregnancy at 11 weeks. The next two pregnancies, I was sick from 6 to 13 weeks with both. Two beautiful girls resulted from those pregnancies. After the miscarriage, my OB told me that morning sickness is your body's way of reacting to all the excess hormones. So everytime I puked in DDs pregnancies, I was very grateful!

I always drank a Diet Pepsi first thing in the morning and that help tremendously with the morning sickness. (yes - it was the only diet/caffiene drink I would have all day).

:( I can't say I know what you are going through, but I do hope it gets better soon for you.

Aww, that is rough. No advice, but just like everything else, this too shall pass.

Hang in there!! Hope you have some help.

Oh, and both my pregnancies were "accidents." People ask me if we are having more, and I have no idea.....I wasn't planning on the two that I have, whose to say I won't get a few more??
