All or as many of the details as you can about Tea at the Grand Floridian? My DD7 soon to be 8 is driving me nuts wanting to know everything about it. My DW and her are planning on going to do tea( latida lol) my son and I are um ok but do we gotta go? We would much prefer to do something else while they are doing their tea thing. Any suggestions? Hope this is the right place for this, my apologies if it isn't.

I'm not sure about you and your DS. I love it, but I'm a girly girl. They offer various combination meals. My favorite is the Buckingham Palace, your choice of tea, 5 tea sandwichs, a scone with jam and clotted cream, a mini tart and your choice of dessert between a pastry selection, strawberries and whipped cream or trifle.

They offer a childrens selection called Mrs. Potts. There is also a Prince Edward selection (I think that's the name) that is more "manly". You can see all the menu choices at http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_gft.htm.

I have seen families there and they seem to enjoy it. It is a lovely relaxing hour or so out of the parks in a beautiful setting at the Grand Floridian. I know I don't miss it when I go to Disney.

Good luck,
Kim

My DD and I did My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party in January. This is the one that includes a visit from Princess Aurora. If this is the one you are talking about, I would skip it for your son. There were lots of dads there, but no little boys and I think he might be really bored. My husband took our son to visit the DVC that morning.

Oh! Were you talking about the Aurora tea? That is not what my pictures were of. My pictures were from the regular afternoon tea. This I would recomend you and your son go to. I saw a few men there and I have read many posts of husbands/sons going and enjoying it. However, if you are talking about the Aurora tea I would say skip it because the $200 or whatever price wouldn't be worth it for you and your son.

Maggie
