Would Moulin Rouge be too much for a 15-16 YO DD?

I'm taking my DD (16 next month) to Paris with me in a week and a half. We're trying to decide what we want to see with the limited amount of time we have. I thought it would be cool to have dinner and a show at Moulin Rouge (Loved the movie!) but was wondering if it'd be too explicit. The site says no kids under 6 but I don't know if that is because that's what the French consider NC-17

Moulin Rouge

Anyone ever been there?

Never been there, but am jealous :) Be sure to tell us all about it upon the return.

I have never been, but have heard about it. It is very explicit...the movie and the place are very different. I think it would depend on your daughter, her maturity, and her interest.

I did not go there because I was with DS10 (but if he knew what it was, he probably would've wanted to go LOL). It is not located in the best part of the city...I would take a cab for sure, especially at night. I've heard it is very "touristy" and expensive. But I have to admit that it was exciting just to see the building (loved the movie too). Have a wonderful time!
