would like to hear more about silver lake

i saw another thread on this but would like more info, we stayed at hgvc before and hope for similar, i heard that construction was going on at silver lake and also some had listed it in there "worst " hotel stay in another post, any more comments on this resort out there?

Hi...we stayed in a one bedroom and it was great....absolute best location for Disney...just a mile or so to Animal Kingdom on Sherberth Road...nice pool, nothing fancy...very nice master bath and bedroom.....very clean....huge advantage is the location.....Ted

The place is great. I don't think it is the same level as HGVC. I have stayed at several places on-site, OKW, BWV and off and the location is as close to property as you can get. The 2 bedroom we had was great lots of room and the master bathroom is huge. The construction going on is the addition of a new bldg, it is far enough away you will never have a problem. If I rated OKW and BWV a 5 star I would say Silver Lake is a 4. You will not be disappointed. I had won a week stay thru skyauction for $230 and it just didn't seem right paying so little for such a nice place.
