Hi there: We signed out DVC papers about a week ago and are really itching to visit our Beach Club Home for the first time. We are planning a BCV trip next August (2004) with the grandparents. I looked into the Fairytale Package for this August and the price seems really tempting. We were just down for 9 days in May and that's when we decided to join DVC, now we have the Disney bug and can't wait over a year to return. Okay, finally my question, are any other DVC members taking a trip with the Fairytale package??

The fairytale package is just too good to pass up. When we were buying DVC last weekend, I did the math to see if keeping the points (i.e. not doing MB) to use for our fall trip would be worth it.

Total FTP at POR = ~$2200 for two rooms, three adults (7 nights)

Keeping the points would have cost $2000 (plus interest) and we still would have had to borrow points to get enough space. AND no park tickets included.

I'd say, if you have the cash, go for the FTP.

We're doing FTP too! We are saving points to take DH extended family next year. We were just going to skip this summer, but DS 3 started talking about Mickey and saying he wanted to go so, well, you can figure the rest:cool: We're staying at AKL for a week beginning July 5th - It'll be hot and crowded, but it'll be WDW:Pinkbounc

I do not consider taking advantage of the wonderful deal the FTP is, "unDVC like" at all. This is the best deal I have seen Disney come out with in years! The only reason I am not taking advantage of the FTP is we already have APs. For someone with APs already bought then the FTP is not a good deal. I am anxiously waiting for AP rates for Sept.

We just got back from six nights at BCV. We have 11 nights a VWL in January for the Marathon. But we are going back to GF at the end of July for our son's birthday on the FairyTale Package. Why pass up a good deal? Our PAPs expire the day we arrive at the GF, so we can use the UPHs, too.

No FTP, but we did a special 25th anniversary trip using AP discount at the Poly in June. With APs the FTP is not a good deal. It is however, maybe the smartest and best offer I have seen Disney make in many years.

We did use our DVC member discount for lunch at the Rainforest in AK.

We could not pass on it either. We leave for Orlando this Saturday.

If I didn't have an AP I would try and use the FTP to book a 2 bedroom at BCV. I don't think I could go back to a regular room after staying in a 2 bedroom, but I would try and book a 2 bedroom if not for the AP's.

hey I am going - $651 for 7 nights at the All star plus tickets - I think this is a great deal!!!

now I have only stayed in the All Star once - I though it was cute - but one night only - not seven - so I don't know how I will feel about this place for that long.

we generally stay in a studio sometimes bigger - but most of the time studios - like to go alot.

my annual pass quit in May and I am not getting another one until next year - mother is good until Sept (we are going in Aug/sept).

Just like everyone else....We couldn't pass it up. We were just there in April. We bought our DVC points in January. But because of the Easter holiday week, they couldn't accomodate us with such short notice. So we sold back the points and stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. We are planning a big "family" trip in June of next year. (Gosh, it seems so long from now!) Then we heard about the Fairytale Package and thought it was a great chance to experience the Grand Floridian!

Can't wait!

We couldn't pass up this great deal either! Well, I couldn't.... DH is out of vacation time, so I'm taking DS10 and my mom. We'll be at POR July 20 - 27th.
