Would it be odd to see this on the Wonder?

We are going on a three nighter....I hadn't planned on trying to get Palo reservations...but may reconsider.

If we did want to dress up one night would it be out of place? I guess maybe I am thinking the three nighter is a little less formal at dinner? I wasn't planning on DH wearing a tie, but thought we may like to one night and I love dressing up so that wouldn't be a problem.

Also which restaurant would it be better to dress up in or does it matter?

If you arent doing Palo, Tritons would be the night to dress up, since they do request a jacket be worn by men in there. On the 2 times we have been on the Wonder DH has always worn a suit for Tritons or Palos and never felt out of place. We even saw a tux on our last Wonder cruise. If you enjoy dressing up, go for it! It makes for great pictures and IMO, it adds to the feel of the cruise. :D

Just got back from 4 day Wonder. On the Triton night my mom and I and dd all wore black cocktail type dresses.

It was fun to dress up and we didn't feel the least bit overdressed.

The grea thing about Disney is that people dress up (or not) whenever they want. With the exception of Palo, where they are now enforcing the "no jeans" policy, the other restaurants are pretty free-wheeling. I personally believe that people should abide by the "no jeans, no shorts" request, but hubby and I like to get a bit dressy when we are on the cruise. Even when we are not eating in Tritons, we like to have nice clothes on to take advantage of any photo/portrait opportunities that might crop up. If you want to dress up, go for it! Don't worry about what anyone else is wearing. You will see others dressed up and others dressed down...there will always be someone else in the same type of attire that you are wearing.

I dressed up every night...
I work in a profession that we have to wear uniforms for everyday...so I thought I'd spice it up some...
It worked for us...and I didnt feel out of place...

You would not be "out of place" any night. Tritons would be the perfect choice.:D

The only thing I have ever thought about the people that dress 'too down' for dinner is they are taking themselves down a notch. If they wish to, that's up to them.

Dress up and enjoy it :)

I wouldn't do Palo on a 3 nighter! The reg. rotation dining is excellent and Palo is just OK. Unless you REALLY need a break from the kids. Don't beat me up here folks, I know some people rave about Palo. Personally I'm shocked. Pasta is pasta. I was expecting more sautee dishes instead of fancy pizza and pasta. The steak and lamb were the only "fancy" choices.
BUT: dessert, that was REALLY good.
Although desserts on every rotation were REALLY good!

I agree with your post above. We had Palo last week on the Wonder. It was OK. I am from Italian heritage, and there are a lot of restraunts in our area(NE Ohio) that put Palo to shame. In fact we had a better meal at Triton's. And it wasn't because we paid $30 to eat at Palo either.
The desserts are very good at Palo.......the atmosphere is also very nice at Palo.

Hi!
Just wanted to say that our family went on the 3-night cruise on the Wonder 2 years ago and we dressed up every night for dinner. It just made the cruise more fun for us and different from "everyday". We have 2 children and they were 10 and 8 years old at the time. We never felt awkward or overdressed. I found that there were all sorts of dress codes in place, from golf shirts and khakis to suits and long dresses in all of the restaurants. Everyone looked like they were having the time of their life! So I guess I'm trying to say (like the posters before me!) is dress whatever way you like; you'll have a fabulous time no matter what!

Have fun on your cruise!
