Would it be all right to request a renovated room at POR?

I'll be at POR in less than 2 weeks and had originally put my request in for AB as I haven't stayed on that side for about 12 years - I've been Parterre Place about 3 times so I was looking for something different for DH & myself.

Can I put in a request for a renovated room? Last I knew, not all of the AB buildings were renovated(although I hear all have new comfy mattresses). Would it be too pushy to request one of the completed rooms? Or should I just request one of the mansions as they, I believe, are all renovated?

Is there a way to find out which of the AB buildings are newly renovated?

I think that would be a GREAT idea! I'm sure they will try to accomodate you. BTW- I heard the new beds at POR are just heavenly!!!

Definitely request what you want. I was at POR a couple of weeks ago, called directly (got number of All Ears), and requested Panterre Place and got it. First time in Panterre Place and loved it. Ask when you call which buildings are done. I asked if all the mansions were redone and the lady said yes. I didn't ask about Alligator Bayou. The mattresses are great.

People just back are saying alot of the Bayou rooms are renovated now. There is a good chance you could get one if you ask. Ask reservations to put it in your reservation as a request and repeat at check in and you have a good chance of receiving it.
