I had looked at this a while back and find it hard to justify the price for an occasional overhead or low tripod shot. Even at half the price I would find it a hard sell for my budget. Even though it is pretty neat product.
Great idea, I was considering it to use during my wedding photography but after playing with one at tradeshow for awhile, I found that the quality of the product seemed cheap to me. I dont know if I would pay that price for it
The biggest problem I see with it would be losing one of the three points you use to steady the camera. As big as SLRs are there would an awful lot more cases of "camera shake" blurred pictures while trying to hold the camera steady while it is out away from your body.
this is the newer version of the Zigview which hopefully is much better than the previous version. but i still couldn't ever see myself using one. they would be good if you were using a Tilt-shift lens and the camera is down low where you'de have to lay on the ground to use. otherwise nup... can't see using it even if it were $50
the angle finder C is nice because it's an actual view - not a LCD screen. my colleague in the states has one and uses it quite a bit, for Macro and automotive (car shows). BTW you can magnify the image so it's useful for macro focusing without a split scrreen.
