Last month and earlier this month when I was at WDW one of the things I wanted to try was the Fish & Chips at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop, however for whatever reason I just never got around to ordering some. Although when I am back at WDW this coming December I plan to order them, so for those who have been there would you recommend them?

Fish is good; I have heard that sometimes it is even better outside than at the TS (oil is not used for cooking any other dishes at the CS so there's no chance of an off flavor). Chips are good if you like thicker fries; not so much if you really love shoestrings. As a CS credit, the dessert is beyond skimpy. The one and only choice in May was a single pre-wrapped Walkers shortbread cookie. One. little. cookie.

DH got the fish & chips, while I went up to the Boulangerie and got a sandwich and a Napoleon; then we met in the middle to eat. He was not a happy camper when he compared my tray to his.................Yep, I got 1 bite of his fish and he snagged half my pastry.

I'd like to try Yorkshire County next time, but I've read that there's not much seating - are there any good spots nearby to sit down with your fish & chips?

There really isn't a great deal of seating available. We ended up eating on a bench next to the lake. However, I was not really able to enjoy my fish and chips as the seagulls snatched everything from me. Beware of the seagulls.

I'd recommend trying the fish and chips. It's worth it at least once. We try to stop here at least every couple of trips.

I had wanted to try the fish and chips for a long time but the lines were always too long. Last trip the line was way down and my DH and I both got the fish. We were both sick for two days. They kept the fish way too long in the hot sun and it did not move fast enough to remain fresh. The fish was just piled up on top of each other. Who knows how long the lower level of fish sat there. There was very little seating and we had to sit on the curb.

NEVER AGAIN

I love the fish and chips there! I am always disappointed when I don't get to have some!!

Another fan of the fish and chips. I can't say I've ever had an issue of the fish having sat out in the sun. Whenever I get it, there is a wait between ordering and getting my food and it appears that they are constantly frying up the fish and chips.

Everytime we've had the fish and chips at Yorkshire it's been good. Finding a place to sit and eat it can be tricky at times. Crowds can have a negative affect on a lot of the dining options so you may just have to go with the flow.

I highly recommend it! Delish!!

I usually take my fish and chips back toward the gazebo where British Revolution plays. There are usually a few empty benches when the band isn't playing.

We've been frequent consumers of Harry Ramsden's fish & chips. However, since 2011 rolled in, we thought we noticed a change in quality - for the worse. To make a long story short, several in my party got sick in August & the only common food was the f&c from the Rose & Crown (pub area). It was not a pleasant evening for 3 rooms... :sad1: :sad2:

No trip would be complete without it!!:thumbsup2

We usually always take it back to the England courtyard to eat while watching the band.

Something we did differently in June was to walk over from Stormalong Bay, bought it and brought it back to eat at the pool. Several people asked us where we got it from! It's usually too hot to eat right away, so it cooled down to perfect eating temp on the short walk back. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to eat poolside at Stormalong Bay or at the BW pool.

By the time you got back to Stromalong Bay would you say they were still hot and did you cover them with anything while you walked back? The reason I ask is because I thought of taking them back to the Boardwalk and since I have an Annual Pass I wouldn't have to worry about using up any days on my pass.
