Would 2 weeks be too long to cruise?

Has anyone been on back-to-back cruises before? Do you think it would be TOO long? I'm trying to talk DH into (and justifying the expense to myself) back to back cruises in October. DD's birthday is the 20th and the next week would be halloween.

In my opinion, NO! If I could afford to do it with both time and money I would do it in a heartbeat.

that would be awesome, it has been done on the magic , i read in trip reeport someewhere now that they have the 2 different routes would be great....

Absolutely not too long!!
I would love to do that, but we can't quite swing the vacation days. We're doing the next best thing and cruising three in a row on the Wonder, starting the Thurs. before Labor Day. If we could work it into our schedule, I would definitely do the Magic back to back. As a matter of fact, if we ever win the lottery, I might shack up in 5650 for a month.

If you've never been on either the eastern or western itinerary, I say go for it! We went on the eastern last March and are booked on the western May 11, so I would have to wait a few years before I'd be ready to consider back to back (but then again DH did let me book 3 cruises within 14 months so I promised not to ask again for a loooooong time).

:pinkbounc My family of 14 and I are cruising back to back this August. We went for 1 week last August and were sitting at Castaway Cay commenting on how fun it would be to go for 2 weeks. Imagine our excitement to hear that they decided to add the Western route. Can't wait for August and 2 weeks of fun!!!

Go for it and happy cruising! Jody

After the first cruise, do you have to take all your luggage off and clear customs, or can you leave your stuff in your stateroom? (Assuming you will have the same room for both cruises).

I am considering this for our trip in October. However, I have booked a cat. 3 suite for our 10/12 cruise. If I decide to do back-to-back cruises, I can't afford that suite for 2 weeks!! I would have to go down to a cat 5 for one week. I think it would be cool to have a nice cat 5 with a verandah for the 1st week, then move into the suite for the second!! But does all your luggage have to come off of the ship, or can it just be transferred to your new stateroom?

We will not have to pack and move our luggage out of our rooms. Just disembark in the morning, take a quick trip to Kennedy Space Center, and embark in the afternoon for the rest of the trip.

Some of us are staying in cat 6 rooms and some in cat 4 for both weeks. I would go for the best cat you can afford for both weeks and stay in the same room. Avoid the hastle of packing and then unpacking. Unless you have little ones and truly want to have a separate room.

We are so excited! This 2 week trip is all our family can talk about and we're still 6 months out! :smooth:

We are doing back to backs in October (10-12 & 10-19). We have the same cabin booked for both weeks. From my underastanding, we do not have to take our luggage off the ship and if we are lucky, we don't have to get off the ship!
