worth it to cram typhoon lagoon into 3-4 hours?

We also rarely spend more than 3-4 hours at the water parks, but we do the opposite of most. We hit the parks early, then use the afternoons to cool off at the water park. By that time, all the early arrivers and the ones who thought they could spend a whole day are leaving, and we cool off and are ready to hit the parks again in the evening.

Has anyone done a split stay - go for a couple hours am, offsite for lunch, then back around 3pm or so in hopes some of the crowds ease up? I was debating this, but wondering if once you leave, it feels like too much effort to go back for just an hour or two. I guess this would work better if they were open later vs closing at 6pm.

Yes yes yes! We often even use it for our midday break! Love the river and the pool more than anywhere else

Might be just my luck, but the last three trips I had to Typhoon Lagoon included at least one hour (or two) where all attractions were closed due to lightning in the area. That's the risk of budgeting four hours there. That said, it's usually a half day experience on my trips.

so me and my wife are spending 3 days in disney. first day will be all magic kingdom, 2nd day we wanted to do a combo of morning typhoon lagoon and epcot in the afternoon/evening/night, and the 3rd day universal studios. is it worth the price and time to do typhoon lagoon from opening to about 2, 230? then head to epcot for the afternoon/evening/night? a little back story...we did epcot 80 percent last october in one day, and my wife said this is our last trip to disney for a few years (she wants to travel elsewhere lol)

Yes, as that is all the time we ever stay (except we prefer Blizzard Beach). We go in the mornings and usually have enough by 12:00 - 1pm.
