Worth buying one AP fora single trip?

We're planning to go to US/IOA next summer. We have 7-day park-to-park tickets for DH, DS and I (bought at $99 each before HP opened), but will now need one for DD as she will be over 3. Wondering if it makes sense to just get her an AP and use the discounts/free parking at the parks, etc. Thoughts? I notice it's the same price for anyone...no kids' AP? I guess most people would do this in a heartbeat if there were.

It depends on the length of your stay and if the discount will out weigh the cost.

yes, it would be worth it...if you already have the 7 day passes for the rest of you - on their website it only goes up to a 4 day pass so you would be 3 days short for her.

I bought an AP for our 4 day trip this past June. I saved a bundle on PBR by getting the AP rate. It was worth it for us.

Plus, if I ever want to run away from home, I'll head down to US and use my AP!

After the prices went up on the tickets, I did think this was true. However, that is not the case. In fact, the old 7 day ticket got upgraded and the cost did NOT increase!

The new ticket is a 14 day ticket that gives you access to both Universal parks and Wet and Wild all for $174.99 (the price of the old 7 day ticket). Its the 3 Park Unlimited Ticket that is listed under the "Park-to-Park" ticket options.

Still, for you, I would purchase the AP. Make sure it is not the one with blackout dates. Also, I would consider giving the AP to an adult and the other ticket you already have to the younger one. For things like room discounts, it would be better if the AP belonged to an adult that was staying in the room and not a 4 or 5 year old.
