Worth an upgrade from POP to CSR?

We booked three nights at Pop Century in mid May and when I just checked other options it seems we can upgrade to Coronado Springs for only $117 total ($39/night) more. I’m sure it’s worth it moneywise but is CSR really inconvenient? The skyliner kind of sold me on POP but we only have one Epcot day and no DHS this trip so don’t know if it really matters. We’ll have to Uber or bus to MK and AK either way. WWYD?

I stayed at Pop last summer. Opted for CSR this January. Loved it! A lot more food options. Three Bridges food was amazing. Beautiful property.

it’s more spread out than Pop. Be prepared to perhaps walk a bit more from your building to the lobby if you have a far out room, but other than that it’s certainly worth upgrading yourself!

Oh and I did love the skyliner access at Popular . You’re not wrong there. I was worried about bus only at CSR but everything ran very smoothly with the bus, and if there’s any lightning the skyliner shuts down anyway. So CSR really wasn’t that bad for transportation. It was all good!

I'd switch for the restaurant and bar options alone. Unless you know you'll be at the parks from open-close for all your meals, the food options at Pop are very limited.
That’s kind of what I was thinking even though we WILL be at the parks open to around close for two days and then the third day until we go to the airport in the evening. Arrival day we have no plans and considered Disney Springs as we won’t arrive at the resort until around 7.30pm. But is we stay at CSR we could just eat there instead of Disney springs.

Exactly. That’s what we did. Skipped Disney springs. Also restaurants at CSR are open late. We ate at CSR after after spending all day in parks and at quick service before parks. Had bus drop us off at tower every night. Refilled our refillable mugs so we had a free drink for the room at night too and then would walk to room. It was great!

I would switch. CSR is lovely and perfect, IMHO, for a mother/daughter trip. Good dining options and very quiet. Great cafe con leche in the lounge below the lobby in the mornings!

Pop is great but if it’s the 2 of you, I’d switch. I’ve upgraded to CSR and it’s a great resort. It’s big but just use the bus to get to the tower if you don’t want to walk. If the weather is bad and you decide to not go to a park, CSR is better imo for somewhere nice to hang out in. Try a cafe bombon. It’s delicious! Didn’t get to try the Dahlia lounge last time I was there but am making a point of visiting it this time.

Ok so I discussed with mom and we decided to switch to CSR. It’s just a nicer resort in terms of theming and there are too many restaurants to pass up.
I just saw your question, but I would have made the same choice :-)
Pop is nice, but CSR offers bigger rooms, more to do, and way better food options. It's one of our "go-to" resorts now.

I’d stick with Pop because of the skyliner. CSR is a downgrade because it’s bus-only.

I would switch- easy choice! I find CSR to be on par with deluxe, even if you aren't in tower. The pools/restaurants are great. Especially for your adults only party- go for it!

Unpopular opinion- I could do without skyliner. Every time I have been at a skyliner hotel- it is down so often we haven't really been able to make use of it.
if you have a rainy week its useless.

We did switch. The Skyliner was the main reason I booked POP in the first place but it only helps with Epcot (we aren’t doing DHS). So four days of a much nicer resort with a lot of food options won out over the possible (since nothing is guaranteed) convenience of one days transport. We can just take an Uber if the bus line is too crazy.

I think you won't be disappointed. CSR is a beautiful Resort, and in my mind I put it above some of the deluxe hotels. Pop is my favorite value hotel, but for a hundred and change difference, you are getting a lot more for your money with the switch. Enjoy your trip and make great memories!

I love both resorts but for the price, I would switch
