We have never been to Sea World and was thinking about adding a day to visit there. We love Animal Kingdom and my kids have not seen marine animals outside of Shedd's Aquarium in Chicago. Is it worth the time and money? How do I get there from the Fort? (We will have a car). In San Diego where I lived as a kid, we could feed dolphins fish and pick up starfish etc. in the tidal pools at Sea World. (1970's!) Can you still do that at Orlando? Thank-you so much!!!:)

We LOVE Seaworld. It's actually hard to see everything in just one day. There are shows, rides, animal interactions, etc. Check out their website for details about the shows. You can use mapquest and plug in the address for SW and FW to get directions. It took us about 20 minutes to drive there. We arranged for our DD to do the marine keeper for a day experience for her 13th birthday and she loved it.

we think it is worth the time and $. you can feed several different critters. you can touch the manarays and feed them. Some nice shows. It is about 15 -20 minutes away right off I-4. However, Epcot does have the living seas where you can look at the different sealife.

What is marine keeper for the day? That sounds interesting. We plan to spend 2 days in Sea World in October and only the Halloween Party in WDW.

We did SeaWorld this last trip a few weeks ago. We bought the single-day admission and then got the free extra day added when we arrived.

SeaWorld is definitely a two-day park if at all possible. The shows alone (Shamu, dolphins, sea lions, dogs and cats, etc.) will take up quite a bit of time but are absolutely worth it. To do all the shows and ride Krakken and Atlantis a few times definitely takes up two days. Plus the exhibits like the penguins, shark tank, sea lions, polar bears, etc. are all well worth the time to explore.

For us though, it'll probably be at least 4 or 5 years before we go back but we highly recommend it.

The drive is about 10-15 minutes from the Fort.

It is a behind the scenes 7-8 hour session working with the trainers. You get to learn all about the animals, help feed them, interact with the dolphins, beluga whales, manatees, etc. You work side by side with the rescue workers and learn all about what they do. You have to be 13 or up and they only take 3 people per day. You have lunch with the trainers, get a a t-shirt, a cd of photos from your day, and a 7 day park pass.

It isn't cheap....$400. But my DD says it was the best day of her life. She is thinking about doing that kind of thing for a living one day and this is a great way to see if she likes it.

There is also a Seaworld forum on these boards you can check out.

Thats great info! I haven't been since I was a teenager and I know it has changed a lot! We're thinking about going next December.

We went to SeaWorld Orlando this past December and really enjoyed it. If my memory serves me correctly there is a multi-park deal that may save you money if you are interested in some of the other parks. Perhaps another Diser knows more about this.

Seaworld is so much fun. The last time we went it rained and they gave us a ticket to come back FREE!! It's worth it to do the shows taken the rides. In my opinion its not a park you have to do every year buts its well worth going to! Have Fun!
