Worst thing I ever ate in Disneyland....

I don't know that I've ever had anything terrible, but I did once get some pasta from Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta that was incredibly mediocre. I wasn't exactly thrilled with it, but I was starving and it was the only place that was practically empty, so I went for it.

The worst thing I ever ate was a cauliflower sandwich from Red Rose Tavern. This was pre-Covid, maybe 2017? It seemed like it could be interesting, but in reality, it was just an undercooked slice of cauliflower with no flavor. So gross!

Second place goes to a burger I got from Craftsman Grill about a year ago that had a lemon aioli...I was tired and didn't read the full description. Oddly enough it made it almost taste like fish. I couldn't even finish it. After that I started asking for "plain" toppings with just lettuce, tomato, and pickle. I usually love their food so this was a surprise for me!

I've had so many good meals and so many bad meals at every spot in Disneyland. It's the inconsistency that boggles my mind, but feeding that many people is nothing short of a miracle.

Mine was a disgusting mobile order from Tiana's on opening week. It appeared the mobile orders had just been sitting in those to-go containers by the take out window festering under a heat lamp for a loooooong time. The jambalaya was cold and awful, the cornbread was soggy, the muffuletta was stale and tasted old. To make it worse, a family next to us had the exact same thing from inside the restaurant and it looked like michelin star quality compared to our slop.

Best meal was a paella at the Napa Rose. It was epic.

Unpopular opinion alert - The Banyan Beef Skewer at Bengal BBQ.

I know. I know. Lots of folks love this. But for me it was so chewy I almost couldn't get it down. The kind of bite that ends up in your cheek for several minutes so you can grind it down. Unpleasant!

Washed it down with a churro. Lived!

Cafe Orleans. Fries came with a remoulade dipping sauce. I should have known something was off with it, but ate it anyway. Got terrible food poisoning, which made our flight to Honolulu the next day for an Aulani stay one of the most miserable experiences of my life.

My youngest daughter LOVES the turkey legs. No idea why.

My least favorite thing at DL isn't food, it's a drink, the so-called Mint Julep. I don't get it, one sip and threw it in the trash. (I do like the real thing, though.)

Lemon Aioli on a burger? That just sounds SO wrong.

They used to have a really good cauliflower sandwich at whatever that restaurant is by Pooh. Disappointing that this one at the RRT wasn't up to par.

A shrimp pasta dish at Trattorio place in CA many years ago...pre COVID. It was our WOC dinner and my friend and I both had the same dish...got sicker than a dog, both of us and we never made it to WOC...

Now, I rarely eat any park food except at Plaza Inn.
