Worst Restaurants in EPCOT

TS -- Rose 'n Crown. Nothing really wrong with it, just not a one of us got excited about anything we had.

CS - Yakitori House. Ate there late -- maybe 8:30 -- and the food was just gross. My DH, who will eat anything, threw part of his beef away.

Runner up CS - Tangeirine Cafe. Marrakesh is my favorite WS restaurant and I expected to love this place. I obviously ordered the wrong thing b/c it was very bland.

Alfredo's. Formerly one of our favorites, but in recent years the service has gone way down hill. The last couple of times we tried it, once the server found out we wouldn't be ordering any alcohol, we were instantly ignored. Very snooty.

The only meal at EPCOT that I wasn't impressed with was at Coral Reef.

The Electric Umbrella after they changed the menu. The food was not very good and they were very short staffed. We were very disappointed. This was always a favorite counter service and the only place on that side of the park really for my DS to get a pizza, but we won't try it again for a while. As far a table service, it would probably be Mexico, way overpriced for the food. Makes more sense to pick something up out front at their counter service restaurant. Don't get me wrong, I like a nice meal just like anybody else, and don't mind paying for it, but I would like to feel that it is worth it and there are much better offerings in "the world". :earsgirl:

Bad service and food = bad dining experience.

Alfredo's wasn't all that great, so I guess I'd have to say there.

Without a doubt, Restaurant Marakesh in Morocco. Just imagine... a cockroach!

Two bad dinners at EPCOT...both were a couple of years back. Coral Reef was bad food, bad service, high price. San Angel Inn was tasty and I loved the setting but my friend got food poisoning from her meal (and she's a public health nurse!)

I absolutely agree. My DH and I both love seafood and were so excited about trying the Coral Reef. What a disappointment!! The mahi mahi that I had was rubbery and inedible. My husbands dish was just as bad. And then we got the bill. Ouch!! I have to admit that we were there in November 1996. So, I hope things have improved since then.

Hands down Alfredo's in Italy. :sad2: Not only was every entree lukewarm, but the marinara sauce tasted worse than the Hunt's Sauce I use at home. The waiter was very snooty and gave us the impression that we were a bother for him to wait on. As litebrite said though, we didn't order cocktails, so maybe that was it. Terrible customer service--probably the only time my teenage DS and DD have encouraged us NOT to leave a tip. And we were seated in the side room which has no ambiance at all. A total waste.:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Akershus for dinner. We were hard pressed to find something we could actually consume without having the good ol' reversal of fortune

Mexico's San Angel Inn=inedible. We literally left the food on our plates and had to go somewhere else to eat.

We have never had a bad meal at Epcot. Some were just better than others. :)

I forgot to add a caveat for folks who still want to eat at Coral Reef...unless they have remodeled the dining room, don't go there to see the fish tank. No guarantee you will be beside it. We were way the heck onb the other side of the room. And to really see the fish, you'd be hovering over those diners lucky enough to have a table with a view..in other words, if you are choosing Coral Reef, choose it for the food because the allure of proximity to the fish tank is pretty suspect!

We didn't care for Coral Reef. The quality and amount of food for the price was a disappointment. Also, there used to be a cs Italian restaurant near Innoventions where DH got a severe case of food poisoning.

Alfredos...Yuck . To be fair we tried this restaurant 3times. Three strikes and you are out:(

Marakesh...The food was very dry. We love this type of food. Will go again and give it another chance
