On 25th August i received a phone call from my mum in northern Ireland to say that my dad was taken into hospital , and in a semi coma.
He didnt seem to be improving so i decided to fly over to belfast on 29th August to be with him and my family.
I was told to expect the worse when i seen him , omg what a shock i got , there was no response to anything , and he was just lying there in the hospital bed , was so hard to watch .
Doctors advised us that despite all the medication /care given by them to dad , that he was not responding to any of it , and that if he stopped breathing or his heart gave in they would not resusitate ... this was hard to take in.
sadly dad got worse and passed away in the early hours of monday 5th sept , surrounded by all his family
it has been the worst two weeks of my life
