Worried I'll never get a pin again!

I got a pin code a few weeks back 20/30/40 and unfortunately we can't use it this year... :sad1: But we do plan on going next year. So my question is because I got a pin this year, do you think if I don't use it it reduces my chances of every getting another one??? I know it's probably hit or miss, but I'd like to think I would still be given another one even though I didn't use this one!

Actually.. all joking aside that kinda works in your favor.

You see the Disney bean counters know that if they don't get you back to DisneyWorld within 18 to 36 months.. then odds are it will be come less and less of a priority for your family as your kids grow older and all the while while you continue to try other vacation spots. (near as they know)

So.. for example. I haven't been to Disney since September of 2008....(some were duplicate offers)

Since January of 2009... I have received 11 different PIN offers trying to entice me to come back.

Yeah. ELEVEN!

So.. I wouldn't worry.

I'm going back in June but not because of the PIN offers. I'm trying the Dolphin this time around. :)

I was looking back at my saved emails yesterday and we got 3 PIN emails in 2008. I wasn't able to use any of them -- well actually, I initially booked something with the first one we got but then we had to change our dates and our new week was blocked out so I had to cancel the reservation with the PIN. I know in that time we also got at least one postcard with a PIN. So don't give up! I really think they are hit or miss -- I had that stretch where we were getting tons and then other times when there's nothing. I hope we turn the corner back to getting some again!!!!:goodvibes

We received around 8-10 PINS since our last trip in Nov 2008. I just received my first PIN for Universal Studios in Orlando. I wasn't able to use it, but hoping to get more of those in the future (especially with HP coming).

Wow! I am jealous!! It sure hasn't worked this way for us. For awhile we went to WDW every year or two. Now it's going to be 4 years and we still have not gotten one pin!! :sad2:

My brother usually comes with us when we go to Disney (we pay for the hotel, he just buys his tickets & airfare). He won't be joining us this trip, but low and behold, yesterday he got a pin mailed (to our house). So I don't think you need to worry.

Have you ever stayed at Universal before?? Do you do anything special etc.?? TIA

This is exactly what happens to us. We've taken several people to WDW, paid for their rooms, then THEY gets pins or discount offers mailed to our address. Some of them are even kids! We have never, ever gotten an offer mailed to our house in our name. Even when we skip a year. But everyone we take as our guest does. Unfortunately, none of them are transferable.

So you tell me . . . :confused3
